They scammed me out of $20 for some idiot who wasn’t a doctor decided to play doctor and refused me an RX because I wouldn’t send a pic of my face. Absolutely no reason for my face pic. I’m not 18, I’m 57. I think I know my skin and my own personal history by now. Do NOT waste your money. What a SCAM.
Response: THIS was not one of those situations. Nice try.

Thank you for your feedback Patricia. Some of the conditions we treat, like hair loss, acne, and skin rash, will require you to upload pictures. This is solely to allow the provider to see the concern. Without being able to see the issue, they would not be able to diagnosis and safely prescribe treatment.

So far, unhappy...
I had an issue with their time zone not being clear so it was an hour earlier than I understood it to be.
The worst was they charged me for a med and sent a med I haven't been taking. So now I'm wasting $
Besides they don't even have stimulants available

Thank your for alerting us Amanda. I'm sorry about the confusion on time zones. Please reach out to our patient care advocates for assistance in this situation. We can help you get a new appointment scheduled.

Poor technology
Poor technology, everyone you call is in India. They don’t show up for appointments and make it very hard to use

costly without providing care
They take your money for the consultation, but don't provide the appropriate prescription. You can't talk to the provider at all, which is not really the provider caring for you at all. This is the biggest problem. When I called to correct things, customer service offered me a free re-consultation. However the second provider read that the first prescription was canceled and rejected writing the prescription without reading. Again, since I have no way to communicate with thr provider, they are not actually providing care to me, the patient. There are better services than this and I would not use redbox rx again.

People with mental health concerns like…
People with mental health concerns like depression or anxiety can't get meds but they sell those if u want, just not if u may need ... I had a terrible experience. Paid for a ADHD and anxiety meds, was denied both because she says I take too many medications and I don't take any medication I was trying to see how those medications would work for me to see if they could help me. Even though I have no history of depression and physical exams are very well . I just face anxiety and was hoping it could help. Why would they promote something they are not willing to do? So they only want to give meds for people who does not have any issue so it could claim as it works? I've lost money I paid for 2 consultation and the same doctor denied both . It was so extressing, frustrating. I felt abused

Patient safety is very important to us. Sometimes it is not appropriate to prescribe medications due to other medications or medical history. I'm sorry our providers were not able to provide treatment for you Ze. Our policy is if our providers are not able to give a prescription to treat your condition, we offer a refund for the visit fee. Please contact us at 844-733-2697 and we would be happy to process that for you.

Very Disappointed!
Very disappointed. Waste of my time. Initially they show you a better deal (than I was getting elsewhere), but it's not real. When it comes time to actually pay, the price is $0.50 more per pill than originally shown!
*
Here's the details if you like: At the outset, they offered me several options, including 90 days (90 pills at $1.50 per pill) or 180 days (180 pills at $1 per pill), which is what I selected. It was a good price. So I proceeded with the consultation.
*
But 12 hours later, after the RX had been written and I was told to go pay, I saw that they had only prescribed 90 days (at $1.50 per pill.) There was a lot of canned info/warnings provided, but no explanation of why they were only giving 90 days. So I called and spoke to Jackie. She was understanding and did some research and said it would be remedied and watch my email. When it came, I went onto site but still only 90 pills at $1.50 per pill. So I called again and got Jackie again. She reviewed and could not figure out what had happened, except to say that it was still 90 days but now they were allowing 4 refills. But the price was still $1.50 a pill. So then she put me through to "provider services." That was rough because it was an overseas connection and very hard to hear, kept breaking up. The guy was very kind though and did some research and eventually told me that their protocols only allow 90 days at a time, and so when the request came from Jackie, they could not change it to 180 days, but they did make it 4 refills. But I would still be paying $1.50 per pill. Since I can easily get it for less than $1.50 per pill elsewhere, this turned out to be just a big waste of time.
*
Note: had they been honest at the outset and not offered me the 180 pill option (at $1.00 per pill), I would have just moved on and saved myself a lot of time. If 180 days is not allowed according to their protocols, why is it even mentioned? You think it was to get me to invest my time, with the hope that when it comes time to pay and they then make it $1.50 per pill instead of a $1.00, I just go along because I have put in so much time? Call me cynical, but this kind of thing happens so often on the internet, I believe it is not an oversight...it is done intentionally by the marketing department. Very sad. Do they really expect me to trust them after this?

-- I'm responding here to Redbox's reply. It really doesn't address the two fundamental problems: 1. lack of transparency from the outset 2. pricing the 180 day supply at $1.00 per pill and the 90 day at $1.50 per pill and using the cheaper price as a lure to get you to go thru the process but not ever really meaning to give it to you. I might be a bit more accepting of their explanation if the price differential weren't so great. And, in this case, when I asked, they did change the rx to allow for up to four refills. So I can get my 180 days, but it will end up costing me $90 more. There is just something wrong about that!

Thank you for your honest feedback Rob. I'm truly sorry that we were not able to resolve this for you. We do offer the treatment that you listed as your preferred. Our licensed prescribers do review all the information you provide and must prescribe treatment that is safe and appropriate for each patient. Unfortunately sometimes certain conditions, history, or medications require the provider to give a treatment plan that differs from your preference.

Nothing but scammers
Don't like anything about it thus far. I was told I would get a 3month supply 90 pills for $45. Then it was changed to 45 pills for 30 dollar & being told to break them in half to make 90. Sounds like complete bull.
Response from RedBox RxApr 24, 2024
Thank you for your feedback LaTasha. We have many treatment options available. Your provider will prescribe the medication at the dose most appropriate for you. In this case the best dose is half of a tablet. Forty-five tablets is a 90 day supply. If you have additional questions please reach out to us at 844-733-2697.

A Mental Health MONEY GRAB Scheme
So I’ve been on & off antidepressants (& other medications) for my mental health conditions for years. This was not my first time using a telehealth service. But this service clearly is just a money grab & DOESNT really care about helping people or getting them the medicine they need. When I was checking out it said there were appointments available in my area for the next day. However, after checking out it only showed available appointments starting 2 days later. Nevertheless I went on to schedule the appointment which was for today. I didn’t receive any email or text reminder for my appointment & missed it. I didn’t receive a link to the appointment (which is unusual), no further communication at all. So they expect you to remember to login to their website online for the appointment. No sooner than when the appointment was missed they made sure to email me AFTER I missed the appointment though, after they took my money & no service was rendered. Additionally, when I was checking out I changed my treatment plan to one treatment instead of the previously selected 3 auto-refills. But even after checking out, the treatment plan provided for the appointment still reflected a request for 3 auto-refills after I checked out. I couldn’t even fix it again after having changed it before checking out when the change wasn’t reflected. Overall, not impressed with the service & highly disappointed. The whole experience gave “money grab” and it’s a shame because I really do need the medication I was trying to be seen for. Not sure if I even want to give them another try after already spending my money and receiving no help, no communication, & feeling scammed in 2 ways after checkout. I might have to just dispute the transaction with my bank and move on, there are other great telehealth services out there that actually do care about helping people and take mental health seriously. Additionally, the questionnaire was very long and the system expects me to re-input all that information again to make a new appointment, seems like a waste of time & energy that I do not have.

Bre, I am sorry to hear about your experience and that we made you feel like we did not care. The lack of access to quality care is one of the primary reasons our company was started. Our team truly cares about mental health and the quality of the care we provide. If you have been a patient of ours previously you may have received a direct link to connect to a video consultation with your provider. Currently the link is located within your RedBox Rx account. This provides more security to our patients as you must be logged into your account to join a consultation. I apologize if we did not communicate that clearly to you in the emails / texts that were sent prior to your appointment. I'd be happy to you set up with another consultation. Please reach out to our patient care team and we would be happy to help.
