We understand your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify your concerns. The consultation fee is clearly stated during the ordering process, as it covers the provider’s time and evaluation. We’re sorry if this was unclear and appreciate your feedback.
Regarding the charge you mentioned, we can confirm that payment was attempted only after treatment was prescribed, per the authorization given during the ordering process. Redbox Rx does not process unauthorized transactions, and we recommend reaching out to your bank if you have concerns about any unfamiliar charges.
We also regret that your interaction with our Patient Care Advocate did not meet your expectations. We expect our team to provide professional and empathetic service, and we would be happy to review your case further. Please reach out to our Patient Care Advocates at 844-733-2697, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
Thank you for your feedback—we value the opportunity to improve.

Very unhappy
I have used this company on two seperate occasions each being treated for hives. On this appointment I was told they would not prescribe the medication that works. It's been 2 years so it was no abuse of medication. The doctor didn't bother to look at my old chart. Closed out my visit and refused a refund.oh and the ointment they was trying to prescribe me triggers a worse rash. 2025 will be the last time. Very unsatisfied!

Hi Robyn. We’re sorry to hear that this experience did not meet your expectations. Our providers carefully evaluate each case to ensure safe and appropriate treatment, but we understand how frustrating it can be when the prescribed medication differs from what you were hoping for.
While previous treatment history can be helpful, each consultation is assessed individually based on current symptoms and medical guidelines. We regret any misunderstanding regarding your prescribed treatment and encourage you to reach out to our Patient Care Advocates at 844-733-2697 if you’d like to discuss your concerns further.
Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to improve your experience.

Follow up appointment process (for dangerous reaction to meds prescribed) was a nightmare
My first appointment (online video call with a nurse practitioner) with Redbox RX went smoothly, and I was prescribed generic Lexapro, and SSRI for my severe anxiety. I started taking the meds, and after 8 days, was very ill (headache, more extreme anxiety, racing thoughts, and my family told me I was picking fights with them, being mean -- not myself -- and not making sense). This is a dangerous and relatively common side effect of SSRIs.
I tried to talk to a provider about this, but my first appointment, yesterday, got me online with a black screen. Eventually, the provider came on in chat and told me that they could see and hear me fine, but could not figure out why I could not see or hear them. Then they hung up on me. The appointment website has no visible way for me to contact customer service or find out what to do next in a case like this, and the provider had told me nothing.
I stayed signed in on the website while, in another window on my computer, I searched through Redbox emails, but found no way to contact tech support or customer service. Eventually, I went to the main Redbox website and found a number to call. It told me it was after hours and I should call the next day. (It was afternoon where I was. I have no idea whose hours they were going by.) I dug through the site further and eventually found another number to call. (I do not remember how -- remember, what I wanted to be seen for was too much seratonin in my brain, causing me to be very confused.) Someone answered this one, but as they did, a provider came on in the website I still had open.
This time, the video chat worked just fine, but this provider looked at the forms I had filled out to schedule the call, told me my case was too complicated for her to handle, and told me she'd put in a ticket to reschedule.
Today, I signed on for my rescheduled appointment, and I got another provider who could not be seen or heard. Again, my video and audio were working fine. Again, the provider just hung up on me. I got kicked back to the waiting room, where I sat wondering what to do. Again, there's nothing to click to open a chat with customer service, no number to call, nothing.
Eventually, a text chat window opened. The chatter did not explain who she was. I think she was customer service for Redbox, but that was never identified. I explained what had happened ...
... and meanwhile, my phone pinged and showed me a text from the provider, who told me my phone was turned off and my online video wasn't turned on. I replied, pointing out that none of that was true (my phone was how I got her text, and video chat had been working fine from my end, and had worked fine the day before with one provider), and asking what to do next. The provider has never replied to that.
The customer service person (?) from the web chat then video called me in the website. We were able to see and hear each other just fine. She told me she would see if she could find another provider for me today, and if not, she'd get back to me to reschedule. She told me it would be 4 minutes, and I should stay on hold on the website.
I stayed on hold for half an hour before I gave up. As always, there was no way to check to find out what happened to whoever had been talking to me before. There was no other way available to ask for tech support or customer service. Just a note on the webstie telling me to keep waiting "and a provider will be with you shortly."
An hour after today's scheduled appointment, I gave up and called the number I'd found on the website yesterday. This time, someone actually answered. She read the provider's notes and told me the problem was that I hadn't turned on my video on the website and I wasn't answering phone calls or texts. I pointed out (as I had in the unanswered text to the provider) that none of that was true, 50% of the people who tried to talk to me on the app's video were able to do it just fine, and the problem was clearly not from my end. She insisted it was my problem.
I pointed out that I no longer had the spoons to fight through this mess, given that I was trying to be seen for severe anxiety and a reaction to my previously described meds that causes confusion, pain, and more anxiety. I said I wanted my money back.
I now have my $25 back, the same severe anxiety I had before (plus this traumatic experience), and I'll be coming down from seratonin syndrome on my own. I have no access to medical help or advice with that or with the problem I came in with. At no point did anyone I talked to clock that I was suffering from a potentially life-threatening reaction to the medication Redbox's providers had given me. I have stopped taking the medication now because reading the Mayo Clinic's website (yes, Dr. Google) told me to do that. Redbox has been no help at all -- in fact, it has been physically dangerous.
This has been a horrible experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

Hello Anita. We have our contact numbers listed on our website along with the time zone and hours of operation should you ever need to reach out. We do sometimes have patients that have connection issues when they try to do their video visits through their phone instead of using a computer. If you are not able to connect within the first 15 minutes of the video visit, we encourage our patients to reach out to our patient care team to try to figure out what may be going on. Should you ever feel like you are having side effects from a medication, you can always contact the RedBox Rx directly (instead of the provider support team) to speak with our pharmacist (hours listed on the website) who can advise you on what to do. This way we can get you help more quicky instead of having to wait for an appointment. If you ever feel like side effects from a medication are life threatening, you should call 911 or get to an emergency room immediately instead of waiting for an appointment with our providers. If you wish to discuss your visit and the issues that occurred, I encourage you to reach out to our patient care team. We are always looking to improve and grow as a company, and if there are problems, we need to know so we can do our best to fix them.

I only managed to get two months worth…
I only managed to get two months worth of prescriptions of an antidepressant they prescribed me before I cancelled and deleted my account. Both months they shipped out quickly, but both months my prescription was held up at the post office for 7-14 days. The first month Redbox sent an emergency prescription (7days worth) to my pharmacy. The next month they denied my emergency refill because they'd sent one in last month. Look, they can't control the postal service but they can absolutely control denying an emergency prescription of something they prescribed and know it could be detrimental to my mental health to be without. There was absolutely no reasonable reason to not send in a prescription to hold me over until the post office finally delivered. This let's me know that patient care is not their first priority. Money is.
Response from RedBox RxJan 8, 2025
Hello Keri. I do apologize, and you are correct we cannot control how long the postal service holds on to your package. Unfortunately, it is up to the provider on whether they deem it appropriate and/or necessary to send in an emergency script to your local pharmacy, and in this case, they saw you had one the previous month and denied sending another. There are a few steps you can take so that you would not have to be getting an emergency script each time you order from us. You do not have to wait until your prescription refills automatically in order to purchase another refill. Patients can go into their account and choose the refill now option to purchase a refill ahead of the scheduled auto-refill. This is one of the benefits of using our service as some insurance plans will not cover early refills. Another option you have is to select to pay for expedited shipping at the checkout step (depending on the state you live in) to receive the prescription sooner. These shipping options are listed on our website under the FAQ's section. If you ever have any questions or concerns with the speed of your deliveries, you can always email our patient care team at [email protected] or give them a call at 844-733-2697.

Had a consultation with a nurse…
Had a consultation with a nurse concerning treatment for an illness I have long lived with. I have been prescribed (and had successful results with) a well-known, safe medication in the past but was told I did not qualify for a prescription after a 5 minute consultation with RedboxRX.
So, the nurses, therapists, doctors I’d seen in the past were wrong in their diagnosis and the successful treatment I’d received through prescribed medicine was… a fluke?
This seems to be a scam where they take your money for a consultation then tell you to go hang instead of actually help. I am currently seeking a refund before addressing with my bank as fraud.
Response from RedBox RxJan 8, 2025
Hello sir. The nurse practitioner reviewed the information you provided in your questionnaire and deemed that it would not be safe or appropriate for you to receive treatment through our services. It is not that past medical providers were incorrect or that our medical provider was incorrect. Based on the information you provided it was determined that for your own health and safety, it would be better for you to seek in person care. Though we would like to be able to help all the patients who seek treatment with our services, sometimes it is not in the best interest of the patient to receive care through our telehealth services. Patient care and safety are our top priority, and we would rather you seek treatment somewhere you will get the care you need rather than take your money. I see that you were refunded for your provider visit as is our policy when you do not receive a prescription through RedBox Rx. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our patient care team at 844-733-2697.

Incorrectly evaluated my symptoms then charged me
Incorrectly evaluated my symptoms, refused treatment, and told me "Get tested so nothing is missed".
But what's missing is BEING TREATED.
They suggested I might have something that the UTI medicine would ALSO treat. So the rejection makes no sense aside from that I've been charged without recieving treatment.
All I recieved was a headache.
Response from RedBox RxDec 4, 2024
Hello Danielle. We offer treatment for over 20 different conditions. Unfortunately, not all conditions should be managed through our telehealth services. When you request an evaluation for a condition we treat, our licensed prescribers will review the information you provide and either give a prescription for the most appropriate medication or give a reason why a treatment is not being prescribed. Some symptoms can be a sign of something more serious that cannot be diagnosed or ruled out through a telehealth visit. Our providers will give their reasons for their decision in their notes to you and/or during your visit. Since you were not prescribed a treatment, please reach out to our patient care team for a refund for your visit if you have not already done so.

A Dangerous Lack of Accountability
A Dangerous Lack of Accountability
I am beyond disappointed with Redbox Rx. My essential migraine medication was marked as delivered but never arrived. Instead of taking responsibility and promptly resending the medication, they deflected blame and offered unhelpful suggestions. Their customer service was unresponsive and dismissive, showing a complete disregard for my health and well-being.
This experience has been incredibly stressful and frustrating. I cannot trust a company that fails to ensure the delivery of critical medication and refuses to rectify their mistakes. I strongly advise against using Redbox Rx. Their negligence could put your health at risk.
Response from RedBox RxDec 4, 2024
Hello Adam. Our patient care team member reached out to you to let you know the steps that need to be taken in order to get a replacement prescription. We are happy to replace and reship medication that has been lost or misdelivered, but because we deal with prescription medication rather than retail products, we have to have the proper documentation in place before we are able to replace and reship the order. This is where our team member asked to have you fill out a service request with the USPS to investigate the delivery. They also notified you that if you were in need of medication, you could purchase another refill to get you through until the investigation concluded. Our team is available at 844-733-2697 to assist in filling out a service request should you need it, or if you have any other questions or concerns.

They treat their customers like poorly
They treat their customers like poorly. I suspend auto refill because I was cutting back on my dose and I restarted a few month later and they wanted to charge me another evaluation charge. I called and they stated I cancelled, that is incorrect it's still in my treatment plan. She refused to waive the $20 eval charge so I cancelled. These people are scammers
Response from RedBox RxNov 22, 2024
Hello George. Prescriptions are only valid for one year after the written date, even if they have refills left. If the prescription has expired, you would need to complete a new provider visit to get a new and valid prescription. The previous treatment plan will remain in your account as it is a part of your medical history. Per RedBox Rx policy, we will refund the cost of the provider visit if the provider does not prescribe treatment. Because you were prescribed treatment, we are unable to refund the cost of the provider visit. Should you have any other questions, please feel free to reach back out to our patient care team.
