Insight and Suggestions
Excellent idea about the preliminary feedback and complete feedback upon the song acceptance. Somehow it seems that artists don't appreciate it enough yet. They may be left with a feeling that it is too easy to reject their song this way. But again, they don't have to pay for that. So, I think this system is designed as efficient and fair. The timing is off sometimes. Often, I receive Rush notifications 2 days after the fact which practically turns them regular at that point. It may be some minor platform glitch that would need to be addressed. Other than that, it seems that artists appreciate when it is easy to mass submit their songs and when they have some control and choose who the song is sent to. It may be that Record Label AI is keeping too much control to themselves and that's likely why we have low submission volumes compared to other similar platforms. I'd suggest you look into this and to make the artists' experience on the platform as smooth as possible. For example, a relatively new platform Pitchplaylists.com has quickly become a go to place for artists and is also very use-friendly for curators. Check them out and learn from them to improve your performance. Note that I have many more playlists and I could be much more active on your platform. But I am not seeing artists come to you yet. Make some changes, bring artists and I'll be the 1st to add another 20 playlists. Good luck!

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to write feedback. We'll address some of the concerns. 1. We have not had any other reports of campaign notifications coming in several days later. Please forward any of these emails to [email protected] and we'll cross check. We have thousands of lists and this has never been reported. 2. Submission volume tends to increase the more quality lists + the more genres a curator accepts. Only having 1 list that accepts certain genres does not give maximum chances for submissions. So the strategy you were posing would actually be backwards. It was posed as 'when I get more submissions, I'll add more lists'. In reality, it would be when I add more lists, I'll get more submissions. 3. Given we allow curators to set their own pricing, this also can increase or decrease the amount of submissions received. Obviously if other platforms are not charging, they may get many submissions at first, but these seldom ever move the needle in any meaningful way for artists or labels who seek to take their career seriously.
