Be Careful with this company!
Be careful with this company. They were incredibly rude, unprofessional, and aggressive towards me. After telling me we were working together and sending them my dissertation, I was left ghosted for 4 weeks, despite several unanswered email inquiries! I had to cancel a semester and lost lots of money. It took telling them I may leave a negative review to get a sudden response from their CFO (Lei), essentially informing me she forgot to get back to me to tell me they took on higher-paying clients. They were unapologetic, highly condescending and said they didn't want to work with me since I threatened to leave a bad review. The entire correspondence was around talking me out of leaving a review, using gaslighting tactics. I finally told them to bug off. Be warned.
Response from Real ProfessorsSep 29, 2023
To be very clear, Real Professors did not agree to work with this person. We never sent him a contract for any service. We never even discussed a contract for service. He has never been a client. No less, I provided him with a free consultation, including sending him some of my personal teaching materials via email regarding what statistical tests were appropriate for his research hypotheses and dataset. I also mentored him via Zoom for an hour about why multiple regression (of one ilk or another, after the obligatory assumptions tests) was the only appropriate method. But, indeed, after this, I lost him in the shuffle of new business as the onset of the Fall academic term began. As a potential new client, this reviewer was not a priority because after I quoted him our pricing via email, his response was, "LOL. Okay, well thank you for your time." This was before I met with him via Zoom, which I did despite knowing he would likely go with a different consultancy. After the free Zoom mentoring session, our actual (i.e., paying) clients became the priority, as anyone who is an actual client of Real Professors would expect. As for anyone with Real Professors being rude, aggressive, and condescending, this is patently false. The reviewer interacted with three professors. All of their communications with the reviewer were informative and professional in tone. I have requested the evidentiary bases with which the Trustpilot Content Integrity Team (TCIT) has justified retaining the claims made in this review to remain online. The TCIT has not provided evidence (e.g., email exchanges supporting the reviewer's claims in this review) because it does not exist. All of that said, I am very aware that a reviewer does not have to be a client to leave a valid negative review. The only valid (i.e., true) content in this review is that I did not respond to the reviewer's emails for weeks for the aforementioned reasons, after the aforementioned Zoom mentoring session. If this is grounds for a one-star review, I fully accept that.
