I was fooled by the mortgage rep. into thinking that he would fix the interest rate to the lower rate and instead now im paying a higher rate than i had before. THANKS FREEDOM MORTGAGE!!!! I called and made a complaint. FREEDOM MORTGAGE doesn't want to know anything, its a VA LOAN, for a 100% disabled vet! Be ware my fellow vet and fellow firefighters.

I have used CDM multiple times for purchase and refinancing. The last time was a horrendous experience. Each time I checked, the staff would say all documents were in order and then kept asking for more documentation. The underwriter asked for documents after the scheduled signing date. Will probably stop using CDM as a lender in the future.

Complete waste of time. Not competitive in rates or in servicing of our needs.

The worst part was closing the loan, consumer direct mortgage sent a person with loan documents and this person had no idea about the paperwork for closing the loan, the notary public didn’t go to the closing day and instead they send a random dude, i request an actual paper copy of the loan documents and never got it.

Paperwork was a breeze. Refinancing process a breeze. After two weeks, FB sold my loan with an incompetent company SLS and now I am stuck with them. Bottom line, if refinancing ask if your loan will be sold without you been informed. Advise, avoid this type of refinancing

Worst Mortgage experience I have ever had. Honesty and integrity are words this company never heard of or practice. The process took almost three months to complete, never returned phone calls or emails. When I did to talk to someone their answer was “ we are very busy and and you need to be patient we have been overwhelmed with customers because of the drop in interest rates. Well if you can’t keep up then you shouldn’t take on new business. Then they sent an email after agreeing to terms that there wa an important update and I needed to sign and accept immediately. With out a phone call or notice they increased the cost of the loan without discussing any options with me because they took so long the rates adjusted up. Their answer when I finally had called to cancel the loan was well this is just the cost of the loan to keep the interest rate you want. Excuse me this wa the interest rate you quoted and supposedly locked in for me. They had to reschedule the closing twice because they weren’t ready, closing agent showed up 3 hours late. I went with Network Capital lower interest rate , constant communication and they listened yo my needs closed in two weeks wish would have started with them

This is the third home I’ve purchased and the first time I’ve worked with Consumer Direct Mortgage. To keep this review relatively short: I was often times left in the dark on things and it was a challenge to get answers. When working with Glen and his team, it really seemed like I was their first client because as we approached the final closing week, I got bombarded with more things needed so we could clear to close. Our sellers were on the verge of not selling us the house numerous times because of the complications along the way. You would NEVER know Consumer Direct is a national bank, let me tell you.

Certainly I will not recommend Consumer Direct Mortgage to anyone. I had communication until I signed the paperwork to start the loan. After that only the paper processing person kept in touch with me asking for the same documents again and again in all possible ways. Initial load processing officer never replied to any of my phone calls or emails or voice messages. Closing officer did not respond until the last day of closing just hours before closing. Even though there is no extension needed, i got charged the extension lock. I asked about this and no response. Did not account for all the credit, so now I am paying additional 30% tax, if they had included in my closing that might not have costed additional $4000 in taxes. They did not do a good job processing the insurance document I had very tough time in getting a payoff for the existing load. I had to call them like for more than a week on a daily basis to get the loan payoff because they did not enter the insurance information correctly. Insurance office need to call the customer service to process the documents. Painful process. Now making payment to the loan, i tried to pay a lumpsum and the customer service told me a max amount that will get accepted on a daily basis, so i sent the first payment and then system did not let me make any payment. so after calling again and again the new person form the customer service told me that I cannot make lumpsum payment, it should be wired. Not a great company to work with.
