Rain Barrel as reservoir for sprinkler system
I had an unusual application. My water source did not generate enough flow for a new sprinkler system, so I latched onto the idea of installing a rain barrel, filled from my standard spigot (not rain), with rainharvest's handy overflow valve to shutoff the fill process when the barrel is full. I ordered the 400+ gallon barrel with pump. Folks at Rain Harvest have been very helpful along the way, including replacing a faulty pump quickly. The whole thing works great! And becuase each circuit of my system pretty much drains the barrel, I know exactly how much water I am using (we are in a trainsition-to-desert environment, not a lot of water resources).
