It got worse
I used to love Quizlet but they make you pay to use the learn and the test feature which are the most useful ones. So now there is not even a purpose for it anymore.

Quizlet is a lightning fast way to memorize vocabulary lists. It's like flashcards, but much more fun and interactive.

As an AP student that relies on structured study tools to prep for exams of all types, this website USED to be a godsend. I loved the learn feature because I would use it over and over again to make sure I drilled the information. Now the website is asking for a subscription after a mere 5 rounds of the learn feature. It's disappointing when you realize Quizlet's target users are in school as minors or in school as tuition paying students. We don't have money to pay for subscriptions. We loved quizlet because of its accessible and free resources. I'm aware that keeping a popular website up is expensive but at least ask for help? Ask for donations? Damn. This really sucks.

Used to love quizlet, but now they charge you to use the learn feature which is the only feature I use. Wasted several hours making a quizlet for a test in a few days only to find that I can't even revise from it...

If you enjoy being charged for your subscription more than once and ideally on a monthly basis (after you pay the annual fee), it’s a service for you. Also, as an extra bonus after you pay them you might end up being downgraded to a free, basic account, which is surely a dream come true for many users. Their elusive support will be looking into the issue, of course, and you might even get a reply (all in good time, there’s no need to hurry) if you’re lucky. In short, for those who fancy being treated like a joke, it’s one of the best companies ever. One may call them pathetic scammers, yet I think it’s unfair. I truly believe they are just trying their best to provide the worst service possible. Keep up your great work, Quizlet guys! After all, you’re nearly there!

I've been using it for years and I really enjoyed the app. Because of the paywall, I switched to anki. I'm really disappointed 😞

Quizlet.com is abusing the control of learners through only allowing 5 ROUNDS of the area in the web page/ application called 'Learn mode.' It is my most used platform for revision and it has been completely taken from me but for 5 rounds. To put it simply, I am infuriated. To encourage Quizlet to undo this callous action, I would kindly ask you, dear reader, to boycott it. I will not offer my eyes to the ads of Quizlet.com, and neither should you, when they only offer a limited service. Of course, I am not insinuating any legal abuse of power, but simply sharing my experience, and asking others to take action on it. Therefore, I am simply exercising my right to freedom of speech under Article 10 of the Human Rights Act 1998 in the UK. If you have got this far, thank you. I wish you all the best with any revision or learning you wish to undertake, but urge to not to do so with Quizlet.

Je zou maar een app zo hard opfucken. Wie de fak heeft dit bedacht. Lekker weer jongeren uitbuiten alsof ze al niet genoeg voor dingen moeten betalen.... Kap er dan gewoon maar mee.

Quizlet put all of its useful features behind an unnecessary paywall. They didn't make any upgrades, there is nothing new that is worth paying for, they are just taking resources away from students. There are alternatives like quizizz, so DO NOT give these people a single cent!
