Quizlet: Digital flashcards and online study toolsReviews of quizlet.com

Was läuft falsch bei euch?

Seems like they’ve waited until midterms before trying to extort desperate, poor students for an extra $50. Screw them

I am a teacher that has used Quizlet for over 10 years to help my students learn Spanish. It is so disappointing that Quizlet now charges students $50 per year to use their site! I'm sure Quizlet is going to see an enormous drop in the number of users they have!

I used to use Quizlet all the time to study. It was a great and helpful website. Notice how I said "was." Now, it absolutely awful. I don't know what idiot decided to make users (who are mostly broke students) pay to study. I'm not the only one. Quizlet reviews have gone way down ever since they made this decision. Locking us out of learn and test mode (you're most basic damn features) and making us pay is ridiculous. Don't use Quizlet anymore. It's not worth it. Gotta say, the only thing slightly useful about Quizlet anymore are the textbook answers. And I only use those to check my answers in math.

You have to pay now. That is ridiculous. It is the only way I have ever studied and I cannot afford to pay for it.

Used to be free for BASIC features like learn mode - you needed to pay to remove ads and use the flashcards, which was fine. Suddenly can't use it in class anymore since students don't have the money to pay to use a basic feature, and gravity mode was removed. I'll be moving my vocabulary lists to a competitor as soon as possible.

I would give this a lower rating if I could. It makes no sense that a study tool for students — people who often don’t have a way to pay for things or can’t afford this sort of thing to begin with — and make it something you have to pay for. I remember this tool helping me study for history when I was in middle school and Spanish in high school when it was free. I’m in college now and taking Latin, but apparently I can only get in ten minutes of study time before I’m locked out since, you know, I’m a broke college kid and can’t afford this sort of thing. I can’t even begin to imagine what K-12 kids are going through with not being able to have access to a study kit that was previously free and easy to use, especially since they’re kids, and it’s not like they have any way to pay for it when the school can’t. Quizlet doesn’t care about education. They only care about making money.
