Poor and incompetent service
Poor and incompetent service. Went in for Covid PCR test. They had me swab myself and send in the specimen for testing. Tests came back inconclusive. I had to take a flight the next day with no test results.

I made an appointment for March 1st at 1:30 PM at 751 Legion Rd, Brawley CA. I received my confirmation by email right away and thought all is good. I received a text from them at 12:02 PM the morning of the appointment. I arrived for my appointment at 1:12 PM for my appointment and the door was locked and the lights were out. Last year I made an appointment 60 days in advance and that appointment was at 8:30 AM and they were also closed. I use them for blood draw at least 4 times a year with 2 complete blood panels but will never go to them again. I will be going elsewhere from now on, they are the least professional (totally inconsiderate) business I've ever seen.

In October I was went back to Quest 3 times as a walk in to get my blood drawn. This started at 8 AM. Finally, at 4:00 PM I had to go to a different Quest but got my blood drawn. I was told by the staff at Airpark Dr. in Redding, CA. That beginning November 1st, 2021, there were no more walk-ins allowed it would be by appointment only. I was also told that appointments took president over walk-ins. I tried to schedule an appointment for 8 AM because I had to be in Redding at 7AM for an MRI. There were no appointments available until 1:45 PM. I live an hour away from Redding. I did a few chores and ate breakfast and then went to Quest at 11:30 AM. I sat until 1:00 PM and watched all these people who had walk-in appointments go in and sign in and get right in. I asked the staff member when they were going to see me and explained that I had been there since 11:30. He told me they would not till 1:45 because they had walk-ins and they had to see them first. Furthermore, I only saw 1 person with an appointment come in during the hour and a half that I was there so why weren't the earlier appointments available? This misinformation makes me furious, and it is such an unnecessary waste of my time.

Quest is the perfect example of why of Antitrust laws should exist. They have the So-Cal market locked down and have the most horrendous service, across the board. Whether your talking about their sub-par website for appointments (how do you not ask for the test that I have to give, for me to take a day off of work, go to the lab, for them to say "sorry, we dont have it). Then even worst, cant get an answer from "customer service" (or lack thereof) and cant get any of the locations on the phone, to see if they have it. This is 2022, you should have this tech down by now. Has anyone seen what they charge our insurance companies for the most simple tests.. Where does this money go, because it does not go to support or tech???

Never believe what they say about walk in service for testing they have you sit 9am to 2pm then tell you they can't fit you in so never believe the walk in policy

My experience at Quest today was very pleasant. Sheena was very professional. Most importantly she only had to stick me once, which is rare. She made me feel very comfortable and I was out of there in no time. Great job Sheena!

Quest Diagnostics tried to charge both my insurance company and me for my bill. I called my insurance company when I got my bill because I didn't know why it wasn't covered, and my insurance agent informed me that they had already paid the bill. This was not a miscommunication-- my insurance agent was not happy with Quest, at all. This was deliberate.
