Quasar went above and beyond, highly recommended.

The Galapagos Islands exceeded our expectations (built up over 35 years of waiting). The Evolution was a comfortable ship and the berth (C4) and public areas were above expectations. The buffet food although good was a bewildering mix of different styles and combinations and in attempting to be all things to 'all men', it disappointed. The itinery the landings and the guides were outstanding. The timing of overnight departure and arrival times felt dictated by the crews routine, rather than the comfort of the guests. Steaming from one location to the next could have been timed better so as to reduce 'middle of the night' rough passages and very noisy anchor drops. All other details were excellent.

Our trip to the Galapagos was fantastic. There was not one thing I could think of that could have been better. The crew, the guides, the excursions, the food, the accommodations were beyond my expectations and my expectations were high. Thank you to Diane and Paul Schicke for being the best booking agents ever! I would definitely book Quasar Expeditions for any trip to South America and I would definitely refer my friends and family.

Wonderful trip - enjoyed every minute

absolutely one of the best vacations ever - we were met at all the airports , hotels, resorts, boats etc - very professional.

The experience was everything and more I was looking for. It was all about the giants - iguana, birds, turtles, and fish. It felt as if I was shrunk and dropped into an aquarium. I checked off key experiences such as swam with the sea lions, turtles, octopus and range of fish.

Galapagos certainly has its magic, and it goes without saying that our expectations for this trip were very high. Our week on the Grace was outstanding and has surpassed the initial expectation, leaving us with a life-changing experience and fabulous memories. What made the difference is that the crew and our naturalist guides (Rafa and Sam), made everything possible to make us feel alone on the islands, adapting the schedule in the best way possible. Going to such a remote place, we did not want to be surrounded by 50 people on every activity. They made us feel like the only ones around and they can count on the flexibility of the crew, that has been hosting us like family, attending all our needs even before we thought of them. They knew all our names after 1,5 day. Outstanding. The Grace is a comfortable and timeless. It is by far the most elegant boat floating on Galapagos islands. Cabins are very comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. Easy to relax here, rooms are always impeccable, and whenever we returned to our cabin, our bed is nicely made. We loved to sit on the outside terrace for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as at the bar. This seemed to be quite unique compared to the other few ships we saw. We liked the fact there was no wifi or tv in the rooms (there is one common tv in the living), as it let us disconnect fully with the outside world while connecting with ourselves, the wildlife and other passengers. After this experience, we really stand for small cruise ship experiences, they are way more personal and unique. Food was also delicious, with great variety and local cuisine. The fact they have one chef and one pastry cook really makes the difference from breakfast to dinner. Camila and Colja – travelled in August 2018, as a couple.

Week on the Grace: We had great expectations when we booked our trip and then we crossed our fingers and hoped that everything Diane told us would be as she described. If anything she didn't prepare us enough for what and over the top incredible experience this would be! It was hands down our favorite vacation ever and will be very tough to top! Our teenage boys loved every minute - how could they not!?! I know that a very large part of what made this the extraordinary trip it was had a lot to do with the Crew and the 2 amazing Naturalists - Walter and Raphael. It truly felt like we were the guests of a very close family. Thank you to everyone that played a role in making this the trip of a lifetime!
