### *A JOURNEY OF FULFILLMENT
### *A JOURNEY OF FULFILLMENT: MY EXPERIENCE IN APPLYING FOR AN HONORARY DOCTORATE* Earning a degree is one thing, but being considered for an honorary doctorate is a humbling affirmation of a life's work dedicated to service. When I first thought of applying for an Honorary Doctorate, I saw it as a mere recognition. But as I went through the process, I realized it was more than that — it was a reflection of my journey as a public servant, and as a person who chose to serve the City of Bayawan and its people. *The Application: A Reflection of Service* The application required me to look back. I had to compile not just certificates and documents, but stories . *The Help That Made It Possible* What made this journey light and meaningful was the help extended to me. I will never forget the kindness of the people behind the evaluation process. To the screening committee and mentors who patiently guided me — thank you for seeing beyond the papers. Thank you for listening to my story, for encouraging me when I doubted if my service was enough, and for explaining each step with patience and respect. To my colleagues at the City Veterinary Office, to the City Government of Bayawan, to my family who supported my late nights completing requirements, and to the institution that opened its doors for this honor — your help was not just assistance, it was empowerment. You did not just process my application; you affirmed my calling. *More Than a Title* An honorary doctorate is not something you apply for in the same way as an academic degree — it is something your work applies for on your behalf. Receiving it, or even just being considered for it, brings a deep sense of fulfillment that no title can fully capture. This recognition inspires me to do more — to improve our Citizen's Charter for faster service, to make our certifications more secure with our official dry seal, to bring veterinary services closer to every barangay in Bayawan. This honor is not mine alone. It belongs to every farmer, every pet owner, every barangay aide who trusted us. It belongs to Bayawan City. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
