I accidentally bought 2 of the same item, and they said that they would refund. However, after talking to all 3 of their reps (yes only 3) they couldn't cancel and refund my order. After asking them if it was cancelled, they went "Inactive" and never answered my question, or fulfilled my request.

It does look like a scam. I deposited some bitcoins, but did not use purse.io for some time. Now it appears they simply deleted my account and pocketed my coins... How could that happen? Would never happen with amazon. The problem is there is no one to complain about your coins... The discount they are offering taking a risk in my view.

Worked perfectly for me. Had almost $400 worth of Amazon gift cards that I managed to convert to about $350 worth of bitcoin. It's a bit of a loss on the currency exchange, but in my opinion totally worth it to convert gift cards to a more widely accepted currency! It does take a few days, so this is not an instant transfer. But if you have hundreds of dollars in Amazon GCs that have been sitting around for months and you would like to convert them into a more versatile currency, this is a safe and effective way to do it. It's possible for you to make a mistake and have an issue, but the process isn't terribly complicated... just read everything carefully before you start purchasing items, check the taxes to make sure you're not paying more than the buyer is going to reimburse you for, check the delivery dates to make sure you won't have to wait unreasonably long for the buyer to be able to receive the package and thus confirm the transaction, etc. Think of it as the trading post on Neopets... 😉
