Some degree of soreness is normal during the first three or four full nights of use, as you become acclimated to using PureSleep. However if it didn't fit your mouth, there was probably a problem when you fitted it to your mouth and that could cause pain beyond the normal soreness. You may therefore address both problems by repeating the fitting process to make a deeper impression. If that doesn't work, try contacting our customer support department and they can swap your current PureSleep for a new one -- completely free -- so you can repeat the fitting process.

If this solution makes you happier, we'd sure appreciate it if you could revise your two-star review to a higher rating. After all, it's probably kind of unfair to give us a low rating for a product you like, just because you don't like the price, especially when we'll give you a special price.

After selling way over a million PureSleep mouthpieces over more than a decade, this is the very first time we've seen this complaint. In fact, we're thinking that it's likely that you probably didn't make a deep enough impression of your teeth during the fitting process, and as a result, your teeth slip out of the place where they're supposed to stay. It's pretty hard to imagine you overpowering the device itself, given that it's really strong. We do have one customer who reorders frequently because he's a huge guy with very strong jaw muscles and he essentially wears-out his PureSleep far more quickly than average, but he's never able to overpower it.

James, we're not sure how to respond to your review. Given the two-star rating, you're obviously less-than-thrilled with our product but we have no idea why, or how it relates to a tongue guard...or even what a tongue guard is. Can you please give us a little more to go on?

We want you to be happy. However our experience has been that devices that can be readjusted after molding often slip out of adjustment, and sometimes, it results in the jaw being misaligned. Therefore if you do switch to another brand of this kind, we advise you to be particularly careful about the misalignment problem as this can cause damage to your jaw.

Thank you very much for being a long-term customer. At about the time you wrote your review, we received a small number of complaints similar to yours, while normally we receive virtually none. So we did a quality control review, but could not find any possible cause nor could we find any defective units in the samples of the product that we reviewed. However since that time, it seems that the problem must have resolved itself because we stopped receiving those complaints.

Alton, since you presumably snore loudly enough that you want to take action, then if you have been waking up tired every morning, there is a good chance that you have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). To find out, we strongly advise you to get tested to see if you have this potentially lethal condition, which can be easily treated.
