I was not able to use this product as it never fit the structure of my teeth. There was just one size and unless you are a small person it will not work. I thought I did it wrong the first time and they did re-send another product to me but by the time I was able to get around to trying it again the time had expired to get a return. I did not know that they offered a return of the funds. I think it would have worked had the guard been able to expand the shape to not feel like my jaw was being squeezed together. Teeth slipped out due to being too narrow of a guard and not deep enough to cover teeth.

The product did not fill well
The product did not fill well, it actually hurt my teeth and it fell out of my mouth a few times throughout the night. It was very bulky and made it hard to fall asleep and get used to.. I'm sending it back today.

Chino, the things you are saying are very serious. We have sold way over a million units over more than a decade, so I can assure you -- and anyone else reading this response -- that we are not a scam. Our PureSleep device was the first snoring mouthpiece available directly to the general public, so we essentially created this product category. PureSleep is an FDA-cleared medical device and has helped countless people get a better night sleep. That's why a very large percentage of our sales go to repeat customers. Perhaps you could again contact our customer support department, and if they cannot figure out what happened, ask them to escalate your ticket to the company's management and we will investigate.

BEWARE! Permanent damage
Though the appliance worked for snoring, it permanently realigned my jaw and shifted my teeth. In order to avoid tooth damage, I now need braces to reposition my teeth. A few years of using this appliance is costing me thousands. And I never thought I'd need braces in my late 50s. The only way to reposition my jaw is surgery which insurance won't cover, so I'll just have to live with a slight underbite. I followed the instructions to push my jaw back after using the appliance, but it didn't work...

We're sorry that you have experienced tooth movement, and we take this kind of complaint very seriously. However assuming that you used PureSleep according to our instructions -- and your review indicates that you were certainly trying, it's extremely unlikely that any tooth movement or bite changes were due to PureSleep. Why? We need to start with a little background on how PureSleep works.
Snoring happens when muscles in the jaw, tongue and upper airway relax during sleep, allowing the airway to narrow. As air squeezes through the narrowed opening, it causes the tissue to "flutter" like a flag fluttering in the wind. PureSleep works by holding the jaw forward of its normal position, thereby pulling the associated soft tissue forward, away from the back of the upper airway. This opens the upper airway, allowing more unobstructed breathing.
While PureSleep was the first such device cleared by the FDA to be sold directly to consumers, other similar devices have been available from dentists for over twenty years. All such devices hold the jaw forward by “gripping” the teeth, so some modest pressure on the teeth is unavoidable. Consequently all such products have the potential to cause the user’s teeth to slowly move over time.
However because these changes are very gradual, it’s easy to simply discontinue use at any time if this movement because objectionable. Any such movement will immediately stop and will usually even reverse. However many people actually consider this particular type of tooth movement to be beneficial because it tends to reverse the natural tendency of the upper teeth to flare-out as we get older.
In addition, all such devices have the potential to cause one’s bite to slowly shift if care is not taken to ensure that the jaw returns to its normal position each day. However you said that you "followed the instructions to push [your] jaw back after using the appliance," so that means that each day, it returned to its normal position. Therefore if it returned to its normal position each day, it certainly implies that your bite has not shifted over time. Therefore the problem that you are describing must be tooth movement.
However it normally takes years of use for any such movement to be noticeable. And even though you actually did use PureSleep for years, any changes that it caused could easily be halted by simply discontinuing use, as explained in our instructions. Therefore if you did indeed discontinue use as soon as any tooth movement started to become objectionable, and if ongoing change continued to occur such that orthodontia was needed, it's likely that the ongoing change resulted from the normal, slow process of tooth movement that we all experience as we age. You said, "I never thought I'd need braces in my late 50s," but if you look at the typical Invisalign patient, they're often around your age, and many of them had braces when they were young, but with age, problems developed.
Again, we're sympathetic to your situation, and we can understand that if you started to notice a problem at about the same time you were using PureSleep, it would be easy to conclude that PureSleep must have caused the problem. However it's hard to see how use of PureSleep could have resulted in a need for orthodontia. If as you said, you made sure that your jaw was comfortable in its normal position each day, then there should be minimal bite shift over the years, and if you followed our instructions and discontinued use if your bite started to shift in a problematic way, then it should not have progressed to a point where any type of treatment was needed. Likewise if you followed our instructions and discontinued use of PureSleep if you started to experience tooth movement that was objectionable, it should have precluding any further tooth movement, thereby eliminating any possible need for orthodontia or any other type of treatment.

Did you try contacting our customer support department yet? They have years of experience and can walk you through pretty much any problem! When people properly fit their PureSleep device to their teeth, it virtually always stops or dramatically reduces their snoring.
If you still snore, it’s probably because your jaw was not held far enough forward during this initial fitting process. If this is what happened, you may need a new PureSleep, but if you do, we’ll exchange your old one for a new one within our guarantee period so you can repeat the fitting process with a brand new PureSleep device, so you can get a perfect fit…and many peaceful nights of sleep! And believe it or not, we’ll pay the postage to send your new one to you, pay the postage to send your old one back and we’ll even extend the guarantee period so you have plenty of time to make sure it works. Then if it doesn’t, you can always return it for a refund.
So let us help you get the most out of your PureSleep mouthpiece by calling our customer support department at 866-879-3777 Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Eastern Time. Or you can go to our website and send us an email by clicking on our “Support” tab. When you buy a PureSleep, you’re not only getting the original snoring mouthpiece, you’re also getting the best customer support in the industry!

Product does not fit a wide set…
Product does not fit a wide set mouth/teeth, and they don’t have an option for it so it’s probably fine if you have perfect U shaped teeth
Response from The Pure Sleep CompanyNov 12, 2020
If PureSleep doesn’t fit your mouth, you may return it for a refund. However PureSleep comfortably fits the teeth of the vast majority of all people so it’s very unusual for people to return it for this reason…only about 0.1% of all PureSleep customers have done so, according to the Quality Management System that we maintain in compliance with the FDA’s requirement that all medical devices manufacturers track all reported problems. PureSleep’s patented design allows it to adapt to people with a wide range of bites, including people with a large or wide arch, a small or narrow arch, an underbite or an overbite.

Beware! Purchased 9-29-19 It broke and they wouldn't replace it!
Purchased one device 9-29-19. I received it weeks later. Followed instructions and used it for about a month. It was uncomfortable. I called the company and they said I should return it and get it replaced. I did and the new one broke weeks later. I sent it back months ago but never got a replacement. I called (put on hold for 15 min) so I emailed them yesterday 4-29-20 and asked about the replacement. They emailed me back that I could only exchange it for 60 days so I would need to buy another. I said it broke which you saw when I sent it back and that's a warranty issue. They refused to give me a new one or refund my money. Don't buy this product! They don't stand behind it. Junk! 11-12-20 update
Today I received an email on this site from Pure Sleep, 7 months after I posted this review! They now are willing to send me a new devise. To little to late! This qualifies as my worst customer service experience. They obviously are hurting for business and looking for ways to stop the bleeding! My review as well as the many others have hurt this company. I own a service company for decades. When my customers call with a problem I resolve it on the first call not seven months later. Shame on Pure Sleep. “We make the bed we lye in”
11-12-20 2nd update today.
I think I was very clear that you failed. Don’t you think in the seven months you didn’t respond, I purchased a competitors? And their unit worked the first time. Enough said!
Response from The Pure Sleep CompanyNov 12, 2020
Mark, if you have a problem with your PureSleep mouthpiece and need to return it, our customer support representatives are supposed to allow extra time for you to get your new mouthpiece and try it out. If this did not happen, please accept our apology and allow us to send you a new one for free. If you would like to take us up on this offer, we will need you to reply here with your order number, so we hope you're able to find it. If you ordered online, it would be in your order confirmation email.
11-12-20 update
Mark, we replied to your review after a long time because we have never replied to any reviews in the past, but recently decided that we wanted to reach out to those few people who wrote negative reviews in an attempt to "make it right." This is why we offered to investigate your claim, and if found to be valid, to send you a free PureSleep. The majority of our customer service team has been helping PureSleep customers get the best possible results for many years and are familiar with just about any problem that anyone might have. They also really, truly like to help, so when we see that someone had such a negative experience, we want to find out what happened and how we can make improvements.
