“Buy One, Get One” apparently means something different at PurePath
I signed up for PurePath’s emails and received a welcome offer advertising “Buy One, Get One” and a welcome gift. I clicked “CLAIM MY WELCOME GIFT,” landed on the website, selected the Single glove for $24.99, and expected, quite reasonably, to receive two gloves. Only one arrived. When I contacted customer service, I was told that I needed to select the Duo option to get the BOGO promotion. Apparently, this important detail was hiding somewhere between the “CLAIM MY WELCOME GIFT” button and the checkout page. I explained that the welcome email didn't clearly state that the Duo had to be selected, and that the website experience didn't make that distinction clear either. I also pointed out the slightly creative interpretation of “Buy One, Get One”: the Single is $24.99, while the Duo is $29.99. So you're not actually buying one and getting one free. You're paying $5 more to get two. PurePath's response was essentially: two individual gloves would cost $49.98, but the Duo costs $29.99; therefore, BOGO. That's certainly a $ 20-ish -ish discount, but it's not what most people understand “buy one, get one free” to mean. The other issue is that this was presented as a welcome offer for signing up for emails, yet the Duo promotion appears to be available to anyone visiting the site. So I'm still trying to locate the actual “welcome gift” part.

The order shows that you selected and paid for the Single Glove at $24.99. We understand, though, why the wording of the welcome offer led you to expect two gloves, especially when it was presented as “Buy One, Get One.” The distinction between the Single and Duo options should have been clearer before checkout. We’re sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused.
