First of all. You profess to be “transparent” & use “only reputable breeders.” How about the kitten I adopted? She came straight from
Ukraine with an Ukraine passport attached to the top of her carrier. We had no idea that she was from Ukraine. You should have disclosed this info. She had earmites and ringworm!

Hi Arla,
Thank you for sharing your experience—we’re truly sorry to hear about the issues you’ve encountered.
We want to clarify that some of our breeders are indeed based in Europe, including Ukraine, and every kitten travels under strict veterinary guidelines with all required documents, including international health certificates and passports. However, you are absolutely right—this should have been communicated clearly and proactively before your kitten arrived. We deeply regret that this was not your experience.
As for the health concerns you mentioned—ear mites and ringworm—these are treatable conditions, but we completely understand how upsetting it is to discover them in a new pet. This is not the standard we hold ourselves to, and we are actively reviewing your case to understand where the process fell short.
We genuinely care about every kitten’s well-being and are committed to making things right when we fall short.
Sincerely,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

Their reviews are false
Their reviews are false. They have one 5 star review each day.. they sell sick cats,
shipped from the Ukraine, imagine this poor animals on cages for hours on several planes.
Response from Purebred KittiesAug 1, 2025
Hi Thomas,
We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. We understand how emotional this subject is—especially when it involves the well-being of animals.
We’d like to clarify that while some of our kittens may come from breeders based internationally, including in Ukraine, every shipment follows strict veterinary health regulations and international transport standards. Kittens are never shipped in cargo; they travel with professional animal couriers to ensure their comfort, safety, and proper care throughout the journey.
That said, if you’ve personally experienced any issue with a kitten’s health or condition, we urge you to contact us directly at [email protected] so we can investigate thoroughly and offer support. Transparency and the health of our kittens are top priorities.
As for the reviews, we do not publish or promote fake feedback. We have many satisfied families who choose to leave kind words based on genuine experiences, and we welcome all reviews—positive and critical—as they help us improve.
We take your message seriously, and we’re here to listen and address any real issues with honesty and care.
Sincerely,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

I’m almost certain that most of these…
I’m almost certain that most of these reviews are fabricated. I find it hard to believe that so many people are buying $3,000 cats in such short periods.
I purchased a kitten through PureBreed, and the communication after the sale was poor and unclear. I had to follow up multiple times just to confirm the delivery. It wasn’t until I requested a return that they finally provided a delivery date.
When the cat arrived, he had eye discharge. I took him to the vet, where he tested positive for two viruses and a bacterial infection. I had to put him on medication and antibiotics, which cost me thousands of dollars.
I reached out to PureBreed for support, but they still haven’t responded.
•To their response: Leon was showing clear symptoms of a bacterial eye infection immediately upon arrival. As you know, infections of this nature do not appear overnight, they typically require at least 48 hours to develop visibly. Given that his flight lasted only a few hours, it is clear that he was already infected well before he was placed on the plane. This directly contradicts the explanation that the condition could be related to transportation stress.
You included a health certificate with Leon at the time of delivery. Given his rea condition, I am now forced to question the accuracy—or worse, the validity—of that certificate. Was it issued without a proper examination? If so, that would be not only unethical but potentially falsified, which is extremely serious.
Response from Purebred KittiesJul 16, 2025
Hi Mateo,
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and the health issues your kitten faced upon arrival. That’s deeply upsetting, and we completely understand your frustration—especially when it feels like support was lacking during such a stressful time.
To address a few key points for clarity:
PurebredKitties.com is a U.S.-based platform, not a breeder. We connect families with verified, ethical breeders worldwide, and require all kittens to be vet-checked, vaccinated, and documented before travel.
Health concerns like eye discharge or viral infections can sometimes arise during travel stress, but they should always be addressed quickly—and we sincerely apologize if our communication did not meet that urgency.
We never fabricate reviews. We work with families around the world, many of whom take the time to share their experiences voluntarily—good and bad. Feedback like yours helps us grow.
We’d still like to resolve this with you. Please reach out to [email protected] with your order number so we can investigate further, provide any necessary reimbursement under our health policy, and ensure proper follow-up.
Thank you again for giving your kitten the care he needed. We’re committed to doing better—for you and every kitten we place.
Sincerely,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

Worst experience I have ever seen.
Worst experience I have ever seen from a company. I don't even think you can call this a legit and moral company. I bought my Bengal and got him in December of 2024. Since day one, he's had diarrhea. I have taken him to an internal specialist and have spent roughly $5000. You would think a kitten would be perfectly healthy for spending $3500 on him. He was diagnosed with Tritrichomonas. Everything they have tried so far doesn't work. It is unfair to the kitten to live with painful diarrhea every single day of his life. I have sent this company multiple emails and never got a response. They see there is a problem and don't respond. I will never do business with this company again. Awful and inhumane.
Response from Purebred KittiesJul 16, 2025
Hi Matt,
We’re truly heartbroken to hear about what your Bengal kitten has been going through, and we’re deeply sorry for the pain and frustration this has caused both you and your pet. No kitten should suffer like that, and no customer should ever feel ignored while asking for help.
Tritrichomonas is a difficult and uncommon condition that, while not always preventable, is something we take seriously. All kittens placed through PurebredKitties.com are expected to be vet-checked, dewormed, and documented before travel. If your kitten arrived with an ongoing health issue, this is absolutely not the standard we hold ourselves to.
We also want to sincerely apologize if your messages went unanswered. That’s unacceptable, and we're actively looking into how that happened so we can ensure no customer is ever left without support again.
We appreciate your feedback—it’s how we grow and improve. Most importantly, we thank you for continuing to care so deeply for your kitten.
Sincerely,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

Sick kitten with heart disease
It's taken me a long time to write this because I honestly didn't want to waste additional energy thinking about all the issues. However, I received a promotional email from this company today about what sets them apart and needed to share my experience. I purchased my kitten in 2021. I used a local breeder for my first and was hesitant to purchase from a cat broker for my second. Nevertheless, I couldn't stop thinking about this kitten and went against my gut and purchased him. They seem to have made updates to their policies since then, but at the time there was essentially no health guarantee, particularly for HCM. I knew this was a red flag and still ignored it. Initial communication was fine and I received my kitten; however, he had THREE infections within two days of arrival (calicivirus, bordetalla, and mycoplasma which takes at least 6 weeks on antibiotics to clear!) as well as an ear infection. This resulted in quarantining this kitten for 2.5 months before his PCR tested clear and he could be introduced to my other cat. Imagine the stress that put on our family. Mari did not respond when I informed her about the infections (I didn't even complain; I simply stated that the breeder and she should know especially since these kittens are in contact with each other) and she never sent his "pedigree" paperwork as promised despite asking twice (I was left on read in text). My kitten also evidenced a heart murmur early on, which led me to getting him an echocardiogram where he was diagnosed with HOCM 6 months after receiving him. While I understand there is not a foolproof way to guarantee a cat won't have this diagnosis, there are measures that can be taken to ensure the breeding cats are clear of it. If you read other reviews, you'll see other kittens also had health issues. A reputable breeder will scan annually and give you a guarantee for the first several years of life. Furthermore, you have no idea who the breeder in Ukraine is nor the care that is received. I contacted the stateside vet (Old Ridge) that "clears" the kittens and they don't even have records. Lastly, I made an objective comment in their Facebook group simply stating that I chose to have my own testing done (in response to someone who was inquiring about it) because there is always an inherent risk in purchasing a cat coming from another country and not knowing the breeder and was promptly blocked from the group and on Instagram (RED FLAG). Why censor your buyers from sharing an honest, objective thought? I love my cat and I'm glad he came to me since I am an informed owner and have been able to provide him the care he needs for his heart disease, which has cost thousands of dollars given his ongoing care with a cardiologist and daily medication. Nevertheless, I cannot recommend others use this company to purchase their kitten. I strongly suggest finding a local breeder with great reviews, comprehensive testing and health guarantees built into the purchase price.

Hi Nina,
Thank you for taking the time to share your story—we sincerely appreciate your honesty and the care you’ve provided your kitten, especially given the challenges you’ve faced. We’re truly sorry that your experience didn’t meet expectations and caused such stress for you and your family. That is never the experience we want for our customers or our kittens.
While your adoption took place in 2021, and many of our health protocols, breeder policies, and transparency practices have evolved significantly since then, your feedback highlights areas where we needed—and have worked hard—to improve.
To clarify for future readers:
PurebredKitties.com is a U.S.-based platform, not a breeder. We work only with verified international breeders, selected based on ethical standards, genetic screening practices, and care quality.
Today, all kittens are vet-checked prior to travel, come with up-to-date health documentation, and are covered by a written health guarantee that includes protection against serious genetic conditions.
We also provide personalized Adoption Specialist support, and every customer has access to real-time communication, video previews, and a scam-protection guarantee.
We deeply regret that your concerns—especially regarding health issues and lack of communication—were not handled with the care you deserved. It’s also not our policy to block respectful, objective input in our online communities, and we’re sorry that happened.
Your story matters. And while we’re grateful that your kitten found a safe, loving home with someone so dedicated, we truly apologize that our service didn’t reflect the standard we promise today. If there's anything we can do—even now—please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at [email protected].
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We're listening, we're learning, and we’re committed to better.
Warm regards,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

Hello
Hello, kitten was sent covered in fleas and ticks. Kitten also had green discharge from his eyes and unexplained blue dye to his fur around his private areas. Kittens eyes were closed shut on the second day requiring an ER visit. I repeatedly asked for documentation, informing the team that I was at the ER. I was informed days later that it was attached to the crate; however, it provided minimal information.
Diarrhea was reported prior to kitten departure, no information was given on clinical diagnosis. Kitten presented with continuing diarrhea and required deworming immediately. The company made little effort in involving new owner in choose of airport, day, or time. A text message was provided and it was assumed that new owner would find a way to pick up kitten; regardless of informing company that personal circumstances, work, and a 2 hour drive prevent new owner from picking up kitten prior to airport closing. No communication was provided on the day kitten was set for departure, nor did company ensure that the kitten was picked up safely. The kitten appeared unkempt and covered in dirt. It was clear that the kitten was neglected. An unfortunate amount of money was spent to ensure kittens health; however, the kitten is now highly loved and has been rescued from a very dangerous and unfortunate process that I fear is occurring to many other kittens sold by PureBred Kitties. While reviews ensured the legitimacy of the company prior to purchasing kitten, I believe further investigation is needed.

Hi Danielle,
We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and want to begin by saying how deeply we appreciate the care and dedication you’ve shown to your kitten’s health and well-being. It’s clear they are now in a loving home, and for that, we’re sincerely grateful.
What you described is far from the standard we hold ourselves to. At PurebredKitties.com, we partner only with verified breeders and have taken major steps—especially in recent years—to strengthen health screening, pre-travel vet checks, travel protocols, and communication. The experience you had is unacceptable and not representative of what we aim to provide.
To clarify for potential adopters:
All kittens today are thoroughly vet-checked, dewormed, and documented before travel, and come with a health guarantee and secure travel arrangements.
Updated protocols require full documentation to be shared digitally and reviewed with clients prior to travel.
We offer Adoption Specialist support to personalize airport selection, travel timing, and safe handoffs—but we understand this was not your experience, and we apologize.
While our platform facilitates the connection between families and breeders, we take full responsibility when those connections fall short of expectations.
We understand how stressful this must have been. While no response can undo that stress, we are taking your feedback seriously and using it to continue improving accountability across every level of our process.
If you haven’t already been in contact with our leadership team, we encourage you to reach out to us at [email protected] so we can formally review this case. Your voice matters, and we want to make this right.
Thank you again for advocating for your kitten and for bringing your concerns forward.
Warm regards,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

Scam alert
I embarked on a search for a reputable Bengal cat breeder when I came across PurebredKitties.com.. At first glance, the website appeared professional and inviting, but further investigation quickly revealed disturbing inconsistencies that should concern any prospective buyer. One of the primary issues is the absence of detailed breeder information. There is no clear description of the breeder’s credentials, breeding history, or health certifications. Genuine Bengal cat breeders provide comprehensive information about their practices, ensuring that customers are informed about the lineage and wellbeing of the animals. In contrast, PurebredKitties.com gives only vague generalities, which is a significant red flag.
Another critical concern is the website’s location and the associated standards. PurebredKitties.com operates out of Delaware, with a bogus address (I called numerous businesses in the area where not one could verify the existence of the business in the plaza). Additionally, they are not a member of the BBB, which was my second red flag.
After constant pressure, they finally revealed the breeder was located in Ukraine where animal health and breeding standards are considerably less stringent than those in many Western countries. This discrepancy raises serious doubts regarding the quality of care provided to the cats and the reliability of the breeding process. When investing in a specialty breed such as Bengal cats, prospective buyers must have confidence in the health and legitimacy of the breeding operations. Unfortunately, minimal health oversight in Ukraine coupled with a lack of transparency on the website undermines this assurance.
The situation worsened when I requested appropriate customs documentation for my pet’s shipment to the United States. Customs paperwork is not merely administrative; it is crucial to verify that the animals have met all necessary health and import standards. However, PurebredKitties.com failed to furnish such documentation when it was requested, leaving me with neither satisfactory proof of compliance nor peace of mind regarding the animal’s condition upon arrival. This omission is both irresponsible and indicative of potentially dubious business practices.
Furthermore, communication with PurebredKitties.com proved to be extremely limited throughout the entire process. Prompt and detailed communication is essential in building trust between buyer and seller, especially when dealing with international transactions and live animals. My inquiries about delivery details, health certificates, and shipping schedules were met with minimal responses and unexplained delays, further compounding my concerns about their operational reliability.
In summary, my experience with PurebredKitties.com has been overwhelmingly disappointing. The glaring lack of breeder transparency, questionable health standards stemming from their Ukrainian base, absence of crucial customs documentation, and poor communication collectively suggest that this business is not operating in a trustworthy or ethical manner. Potential buyers seeking a Bengal cat should exercise extreme caution and thoroughly research any breeder before making a commitment. It is advisable to pursue sellers who offer full, verifiable documentation and maintain consistent, clear communication throughout the sales process, ensuring the health and proper care of these beloved animals is prioritized above profit.
Furthermore, potential pet owners must conduct extensive due diligence and rely on reputable sources to ensure their future companion’s well-being. A trustworthy breeder will provide complete health records, transparent documentation, and unwavering communication throughout the process. The experience with PurebredKitties.com is a stark reminder to never compromise on essential standards when purchasing a pet, for lasting calm assurance.
UPDATE: May 31, 2025
Purebred Kitties is using a fictitious address for their business 501 Silverside Road, Suite 87, Wilmington, DE 19809. I called numerous businesses in the same plaza where not one business knew of them,
Additionally, I searched the USDA website where it shows the business passing a feline inspection with no cats, huh, how with no cats?. The address on file where they did the inspection is a single family home,157 Riverview Drive New Castle, DE 19720
If you look on google you will see a run down 2-story house.

Hi Josh,
We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating and stressful this situation has been for you. It’s never our intention to leave any customer feeling misled or ignored, and your feedback is being taken very seriously.
To clarify for those reading: PurebredKitties.com partners with certified breeders from both the U.S. and select countries abroad, including Ukraine. These breeders are required to meet strict health and documentation standards, and every kitten must pass a veterinary check and be approved for travel. We never compromise on health, quality, or ethical standards.
We recognize your concern about communication and delays. While international transport logistics—especially involving live animals—can sometimes cause unforeseen rescheduling, you should never feel left in the dark. That’s not the experience we aim to provide, and we’re currently investigating your case internally.
If your kittens have not arrived and you’ve been unable to reach us, please contact our customer care team directly, and we will prioritize resolving this matter. We also recommend referencing your order number in your message so we can act quickly.
We understand your frustration and truly regret that your trust in us has been shaken. We’re committed to making this right and to continuously improving our service for every future pet parent.
Sincerely,
The PurebredKitties.com Team

Unacceptable Treatment Allowed by PK
First of all, stay away from Purebred Kitties. I give this two stars only bc my husband and I actually received our kitten compared to several one star reviews.
Experience was horrible throughout the entire adoption process. Communication was absent unless we reached out first leaving voicemails or sending texts. We were promised videos of our cat every week. That stopped happening after week 1. Often we wouldn’t receive a video unless we reached out to PK multiple times for an update. There wouldn’t any acknowledgment that we reached out. We would just receive an email with the video every 2-3 weeks. In several instances, we received videos of a different kitten. The kitten we picked out had specific markings for us to notice when those markings were missing. When mentioned to PK, they would tell us they would reach out to the breeder for a new video and then crickets from PK.
For several months, we didn’t actually know if there was a kitten. PK wouldn’t take the time to talk to us about the “hard” questions. Every time we asked for proof of life, location of kitten (not breeder name), kitten raising process (hands on, how long is the Queen with the kittens, what age are the kittens weaned, etc.), the sales person from PK would suddenly wrap the call. In several cases, we were hung up on.
Kitten came from Ukraine which was not shared with us. We were told the kitten will come from Delaware, USA. It only became known to us that the kitten was from Ukraine from the passport that came with him. The only vet records we received were his Ukraine passport proving he had his rabies vaccination and a document when he made it to Philadelphia to prove he could travel.
Kitten was extremely malnourished when we received him. Our kitten came with a fever causing diarrhea, vomiting, and extremely lethargy. At nearly 5 months old for his breed, our vet confirmed our kitten should have weighed about 5+ pounds more than what he did and under sized for his assumed age. Our vet also stated that this mistreatment had to have gone on for several months for him to be in such terrible shape if he really is 5 months of age. After medication and high protein meals several times a day, our kitten is beginning to make a comeback.
It is absolutely repulsive and abhorrent that this company would not only allow for the mistreatment of our kitten, but then allow him to travel.
We decided not to inform PK of this. They have not only disrespected my husband and I by not being transparent or honest, they allowed for the mistreatment and abuse of our kitten.
STAY AWAY FROM PUREBRED KITTIES. This company is a broker, not a breeder. While they say they care about the animals, that was not shown with our kitten.
Response from Purebred KittiesMay 26, 2025
Hi SDF,
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience—and while we’re relieved your kitten arrived and is now healing under your care, we’re deeply sorry to hear the journey was this distressing. That’s not the standard we hold ourselves to, and your feedback is being taken seriously at every level of our team.
To clarify for others reading: PurebredKitties.com is a U.S.-based platform, not a breeder. We work with verified breeders globally, including in the U.S. and Europe, and every kitten is meant to be vet-checked, socialized, and healthy prior to travel. We understand this wasn’t your experience, and that’s unacceptable.
The lack of communication, delays in updates, and confusion around the kitten’s origin are not what we strive for. We’re actively reviewing this case internally to identify what went wrong. Our team should never have left you with unanswered concerns—and the health condition you describe is not something we tolerate or overlook.
To be fully transparent:
While some of our kittens come from Eastern Europe (due to rare bloodlines and breed quality), we are always working to improve disclosure, breeder visibility, and transparency.
All kittens are required to pass veterinary health checks before travel, and we back this with our health guarantee and scam protection policy.
We understand you chose not to reach out after receiving the kitten, and we respect that. But if there’s any way we can assist under our policy, or anything else, we invite you to contact us directly at [email protected] or schedule a call. Our job doesn’t end with delivery—we’re here for you afterward as well.
We’re truly sorry that we didn’t live up to your expectations or to our own standards. Thank you for giving your kitten a loving home—and for helping us become better.
Warmly,
The PurebredKitties.com Team
