Extremely overpriced. How can they call it "adopting?" These cats are being sold! Who pays an "adoption fee" for 2.5k dollars? Nobody. But people DO buy animals for that price. Just call it for what it is - a pet shop. If you are planning to call your so called "adoption center" at least ask people to fill out application forms TO SEE if their houses are set up for animals or at least if they KNOW how to treat and take care of animals. But obviously you only care about money and whoever pays your 2.5k first gets the pet.

Hi Juana, we do apologize for the confusion. But we are NOT an adoption canter, we are an Online Pet Store, we sell purebred kittens, we are also inspected and licensed by USDA. We are sorry to hear that the price seems high to you, however, due to the current market condition adoption fee is likely to increase in near future.

I purchased a beautiful Maine Coon cat…
I purchased a beautiful Maine Coon cat from Maria (from Delaware) in mid-December. It was for my 9 year daughter - as her cat died earlier in the year and with my divorce I wanted to bring home a new cat for her.
Maria was somewhat responsive the 1st few times I reached out. After a few days of the cat being home I realized how "Untrained" the cat (born 6/22/2021) was. I spent xmas eve at the animal hospital - as the cat was developing large lumps on his throat. He was put on antibiotics right away - $500 later - the cat came home. He's not litter box trained and probably never was. Maria's last text back to me was "all sales are final" and that was it. No help, education or ways to navigate this helpless cat. She was VERY quick to demand the money. I'm so furious with myself for falling for this scam artist. I have 1000s of dollars worth of damage to my house on top of it all. I cannot get over the lack of response though - it's criminal. I have an attorney working on this matter - more money out of pocket. I am not done with Purebred Kitties - trust me. This will be a legal mess that they wish will go away and its not going to either. Maria needs to be behind bars and I will fight until that happens.

Hi Rebecca, we are sorry to hear that you are not sutisfy. However, according to the sales contract, If a kitten stops using a litter box it is not a cause for return. But we allways can help to get him accustomed to litter box.

Sick/malnourished kitten, fake papers
You sold us a sick kitten that died right away and you won’t answer my emails about it. Your paperwork is fraudulent.
You are awful people and shouldn’t be allowed around animals.
EDIT: Mari has responded to this review, but still hasn’t responded to emails. The way you ship these kittens overseas is inhumane. I can’t prove genetic problems, but the kitten arrived 3 lbs underweight and literally starving. He died shortly after. His teeth hadn’t even grown in properly due to malnutrition. You then offered $100 off another kitten and all of a sudden offered us insurance we could purchase, then stopped responding to emails all together when we wouldn’t give you more money. You are a SCAMMER.

Thank you for your review. We provided one year genetic disease health guarantee to all our customers and issue 100% refund in a case of a genetic disease diagnosis. However we have not received a request with proof of a genetic disease from you. If your kitty was diagnosed with a genetic disease, please send us all evidence to [email protected] for the review

Refrain from this seller
You do not consider a review from my husband genuine? Here are the facts - We purchased a $2,400 Maine Coon in April 2021 and drove to pick him up between Pennsylvania and Delaware and took him back home with us to Minnesota. Our cat’s name was Antony and was originally from the Ukraine. He suffered from consistent eye issues from the day we had him up until he died. We took him in for an eye appointment (yet again) on Friday, 10/15/2021, and the vet found a massive tumor or enlarged kidney on his right side. Unbeknownst to us, he had been critically ill and was terminal. We weren’t aware of his declining health because he had been hiding often and Maine Coons, according to the vet, are very good with hiding when they’re ill. Basically, he was an ill kitty from the moment we bought him. We were heartbroken that he had to be put down so that he’d no longer suffer. For this price point, all of your Maine Coons should be genetically tested for PKD! We are distraught and had trusted this seller.
Update:
Mari has NOT responded to our correspondences despite us reaching her staff twice who told us that she would contact us. We also reported her to the BBB who have reach out to her and, again, she did not respond. Please do yourself a favor and find another kitten elsewhere. DO NOT go with this seller.

Avoid
We got a kitten main coon. Since we have had him, he has had eye issues and more recently of having him for less than a year, we had to put him down because of internal issues. He is my 5th cat.
I would not recommend this site to anyone. No cat, especially an expensive one should be sold with unknown health conditions.
Update:
False!
We paid $2,400 for an orange main coon named Antony. +1 (929) 777-7770

Why would I make this up? What do I have to gain from this? I do not run a cat business and I do not even know anyone from the company.

One of the worst experiences of my life
In the interest of full transparency- this is the partner of Mallory. who left the one star review detailing our experience. I'd like to just address the owner's response as almost all of it is intentionally misleading or untruthful. Let's go point by point.
"The kitten's health and well-being are our top priority!" - Clearly not, or else the owner of the business would have stepped up with guidance or advice when the kitten she sold us a week prior was dying.
"All our kittens are being checked by a licensed veterinarian before going to a new home" - Upon us reaching out to her vet, he said that he has never seen our cat. No vet in the United State's looked at our cat before being handed off to us. The only given to us was a document written in Russian stating the cat had vaccinations. Our vets in the US ended up not being able to decipher the document and we had to have the cat re-vaccinated per their advice.
"We are sorry you have a bad experience with emergency medical care." - We had a great experience with emergency medical care, they saved our kittens life while the owner of the business was nowhere to be found.
"Maintaining a kitten in good health is a responsibility you take went adopting an animal." - Translate that as "if we sell you a deathly sick animal it's not our problem". Almost all states have pet lemon laws that protect buyers in the case they are sold critically sick animals, as in our case. These laws unfortunately are near impossible enforce with online purchases, a loophole the owner of the business takes full advantage of. Buyers beware, know what you are getting yourself into.
"The kitten should not be considered as “merchandise” and not something you receive" - The kitten is not merchandise, we were talking about the sweater that was purchased but never shipped, received, or refunded.
"you adopt an animal which means you take full responsibility for its health and well being" - We do take full responsibility for normal healthcare over the course of a cat's lifetime. We do not think it is fair to accept the entire cost of the cat + emergency medical costs when they are the direct result of the conditions the animals are kept in by your breeders, and the animal is delivered to us with multiple severe medical conditions.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm your communication with our veterinarian." - We can confirm it with texts and emails if you'd like!
"Therefore we will not respond to any of your emails and texts with threats and demands to issue a refund." - the owner of the business stopped responding to us well before we even brought up that we would seek a refund- by the way, that's an obvious resolution to the horrific scenario that unfolded due to her business practices. All we requested was to open a dialog with her, and when that failed we detailed our experiences with her online to save others from going through what we had to go through.
"However, we were able to confirm “multiple complaints on other websites” left by you and/or your partner." - I left a review on Yelp, that is correct. Any other negative reviews are not from myself or my partner.
To be clear, I don't think the other 5 star reviews here are (all) fake, if we didn't have crazy health issues with our kitten within a week of ownership I'm sure we would've left a normal review. However, a business can be judged by how they handle situations when things DO unfortunately go wrong- and when dealing with live animals sometimes things inevitably go wrong. The seller's response while we weren't sure if our newly adopted kitten would live or die was to cut communication, and then when we did not go quietly into the night with our almost dead kitten and medical bills totaling thousands, she chose to write unprofessional responses to our true, lived, and traumatizing experience on review sites. We tried SO MANY times to reach an amicable and reasonable resolution with the owner of the business before resorting to the only thing we can do- warn future buyers. Our advice to the owner would be, next time an unfortunate situation happens with one of your animals I hope you can handle it with grace and compassion for the pets and owners- like you claim in your mission statement- instead of publicly arguing with your former customers on online review sites trying to discredit them. Best of luck.
*Update, the owner now claims we "adopted" the cat - I'm not sure in which world paying a broker $2000 for a purebred cat counts as adoption but apparently that absolves her of any and all responsibility.
*Update 9/16/21, the seller claims in their response to this review that "they can't verify the information", but we've submitted all necessary documentation to Trustpilot including medical correspondence and proof of purchase. Trustpilot has marked the review "Verified"

Sold critically ill kitten & never heard from Maria again
Maria sold me a critically ill kitten and cut off all communication once she was made aware of the situation. Within days of bringing home my kitten, she was diagnosed with a viral respiratory infection, fungal skin infection, and multiple secondary bacterial infections in her eyes and ears which cost me thousands of dollars in emergency medical care. In addition to ignoring my requests for support/guidance and a refund (as per the "health guarantee" on her website), Maria also accepted payment for merchandise (cat sweaters) on her website which I never received. I tried to file a chargeback with my bank for the cost of the sweaters, but they were unable to retrieve the funds because she uses a third party seller. Be extremely cautious purchasing a kitten from purebreedkitties.com as there's no telling what condition your kitten will arrive in. If your kitten arrives deathly ill like mine, be prepared to spend thousands of dollars in medical care within the first week of ownership and never hear from Maria again.
*EDIT: I didn't feel it was necessary to get into details, but since Maria's response to my initial review was to discredit and deny everything that happened, I'd like to provide some context and background info. When we picked up our cat, she had a visible skin infection on her left shoulder and an ear infection made visible by dark oozing wax. Unfortunately, those were the least concerning ailments which we found out just days later when we were told by multiple vets that our cat was actually dying due to a severe viral infection. At one point, I was even told by Maria’s personal vet (who I reached out to on my own accord and have several saved conversations with) that I should be prepared to put the cat down, so I asked Maria for guidance in hopes she could offer support to help nurse the cat back to health (there was no mention of “dropping her off on a doorstep”, it was more like a plea for help as I was running out of options and couldn’t bare the thought of putting down a 5 month old kitten). At one point, Maria haphazardly suggested we take the kitten to her vet 3 hours away but that was not a feasible option for 2 reasons: her vet's office was closed for the holidays (it was Christmas Eve) and any correspondence I had with her vet was done via email/text because he was in California at the time on vacation and not seeing patients until after the New Year. Clearly our kitten could not wait that long to be seen. Our vet also said the kitten was not well enough to survive a 3 hour car ride from New York City to Delaware as she was hooked up to supplemental oxygen and an IV catheter at the time. Once I explained this to Maria (along with documentation from my vet stating the cat could not travel), I never received a response back and she ignored the multiple requests for an amicable resolution I’ve sent since then. The last conversation I had with her was to tell her the kitten was in grave condition and she never checked back in to make sure the kitten even survived. I understand it was probably a difficult situation for Maria to navigate being as inexperienced as she is - but ignoring an issue doesn’t make it go away. In fact, it only added to my emotional/mental distress as a first time pet owner. Thankfully my kitten did survive this traumatic ordeal thanks to the amazing care and team of emergency vets, but I’ve seen multiple complaints of sick cats on various review sites including this one. It seems she cannot stand by her promise of “healthy pets” and certainly does not care about their wellbeing once she’s received payment. Very sad to see such little compassion from someone dealing with helpless innocent animals. Of course I’m prepared to deal with any medical issues that arise over a normal cats lifetime, but when a cat arrives with multiple infections because they were kept in poor conditions prior to entering my home, THIS IS NOT NORMAL and the seller must take some responsibility. Maria has denied all responsibility and claims she doesn't "sell" animals - yet she profits and collects payment in exchange for the animals, which is the literal definition of a sale. She's clearly not running an adoption agency here. I've never offered to remove ANY review in exchange for a refund. In fact, there's no amount of money she could pay me to keep quiet because I think future buyers need to be aware of what they're getting themselves into. I’d reach out with my questions and concerns, but I know I’ll never hear back unless it’s in the form of an argumentative response on a review site.
(PS. Thank you for proving my point that you have absolutely 0 compassion for your pets or clients by leaving combative responses to my traumatic experience trying to negate everything that happened instead of understanding or resolving. Big red flag for future buyers!)

Thank you for being a part of our private Facebook group for Purebred Kitten owners and accepting our invitation to give us feedback. We are glad to hear that a kitten is doing well. The kitten's health and well-being are our top priority!
All our kittens are being checked by a licensed veterinarian before going to a new home. At the time of the adoption, the kitten was absolutely healthy.
Maintaining a kitten in good health is a responsibility you take when adopting an animal. The reason your bank did not accept your change back request, is because there ware no evidence provided to support the claim. We also do not use any other websites to process adopt fees, besides our own.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
