I got totally duped! I used this website because I thought they vetted their breeders but they don’t! I ended up getting a supposed pure bred puppy, but had medics problems when I took him to my vet. The breeder provided a homemade spreadsheet of the puppies, vaccination records and that’s it. They wouldn’t take my phone calls or refund my money. I got totally screwed. I would not recommend this website because they do not vet their breeders.

It was very easy to use. I was able to find the puppy if my dreams in a location close to home. The whole experience was wonderful. I highly recommend using puppies.com

Alot of variety to choose from. Gives you verified people to purchase from. We now have a new beautiful family member that we all adore.

Experience could not have been easier (though this can be a red flag for some). I feel like I had a great experience but it could have very easily not have been. I met the Breeder at a gas station 50 miles from home within a days notice to pickup a Maltese puppy. Once again, worked out amazingly for me but could very easily not have. My husband has been wanting a puppy and we were waiting on me to be ready for the responsibility and workload so one weekend when he was on a trip with friends and I felt like I was ready I wanted to surprise him with the dog we knew we wanted! I went to Petland and found a 4 month old pup that I wanted who was “on sale for half off” because he was 16 weeks old and they feared no one would want him. Price tag said $3,750. Yes, that’s three thousand, seven hundred and fifty dollars. So I thought I’d be paying around $2,000 with tax and some immediate supplies. Anyways, fast forward three hours and lots of attachment later, I’m at the register and my total was over $4,000! They told me they puppy was $3750 INCLUDING the half off. I had to leave little Jacks behind for a different family. But I came home with a huge void and need to love a pup. Enter puppies.com. I was able to meet up with this home Breeder who had no more than two litters in a year for Maltese’s and who made sure the mom doesn’t have more than a certain amount of litters in her lifetime (I believe 4-5). This family seemed to actually care. The only thing that through off my surprise to my husband at the airport was that I had to meet this breeder off site and somewhere almost 90 miles away from home for me. She was willing to meet me almost halfway and she said she doesn’t meet at home for safety for herself and her family and sometimes if people think raising pups is too hard they return them to her doorstep and she has young kids at home and so I told her to wait an extra day so my husband and I could both go to see this puppy at a gas station 50 miles away. When I picked up my husband from the airport, I surprised him with Maltese themed puppy items and told him we would go pickup our little one tomorrow. He was over the moon! I filled him in on this whole story above and we both agreed that if any of the vibes were off then we would continue our search for our little one until we came across the perfect fit for everyone involved! This puppy was also 16 weeks old and the last one left of the litter but that did not matter to us one bit. I loved that he wasn’t “on sale” for this. From the second we met our pups breeder in a gas station parking lot across Chateau Elan, everything checked out perfectly! She had a little 3 pound fluffy, beautiful Maltese in her hands and three car seats/booster seats in her back seat! It immediately put me at ease! She had official contracts and vaccination records in an organized green folder, she had a profile in his parents and hadn’t even named him yet! It was love at first sight and it just worked out for us. Since it was during the pandemic as well, she edited and initialed the contract to give us a full week to get our pup checked out by a vet for any health defects or issues or anything instead of the standard two day period. Everything felt right. She had even microchipped him at my request (though all dogs legally sold in Georgia need to be microchipped, so once again, could be seen as a red flag but worked out beautifully for us!) and when we took him to the vet, his microchip matched all the microchip info we were provided and he passed all health checks with flying colors. He was a happy and healthy little boy who became the best thing that ever happened to us! All in all, I would just say to be careful and not meet anyone anywhere alone or during dark. I would also recommend not paying cash as that has no record or receiver attached to to it, just in case. We paid $850 through Zelle for our boy Maltese and the breeders checked in on us for a few weeks and answered all my questions as our little Leo is our first pup ever! I had a phenomenal experience trusting this site and I get to enjoy that decision everyday, how can I not recommend it?!

I have used puppies.com to find my service dog twice now (8/14 & 1/23). Both times turned out fairly well. Because I need a service dog I have to be specific in my search. And because I have a fixed income timing and pricing are key. Puppies.com drastically cuts down on time spent searching but you still have to be a little selective about breeders. I have come across a few puppy mills but they're kind of easy to recognize. Some are all about the money and will often sell older dogs (too old for breeding) as well as puppies. The site is great but please remain diligent in your search.

We got a great puppy!

Great website. I was able to find the breed and gender I wanted, only less than 2 hours away from home. Sellers was wonderful, easy to communicate and even negotiate the price. They sent me pictures and updates. My puppy is highly intelligent and absolutely gorgeous. She is 10 months now and we are very happy with her. She is loved by everyone in the neighborhood and all the kids on a bus and bus driver adore her and wait to see her every morning 😊. Our dog takes her job of walking kids to school very serious and try to be super friendly to other kids and their parents on a bus stop. She is a highlight of all the kids day. We bought pekingese and she exceeded our expectations, breeders potty trained her at 8 weeks! She don't bark and walk perfect on a leash. Never had accidents at home or destroyed toys or furniture. She is even best friend with a cat. Great dog. Highly recommend this website to anyone who is looking for a specific breed and a quality dog.
