I'm a researcher, former legal and medical researcher and award-winning journalist, so I'm always suspicious and did my research before looking at Puppies.com and focusing on a specific hobby breeder. I'd only adopted from non-profit rescues before. The entire process was easy, including selecting the breeder, and I ended up with a beautiful, playful, healthy, gentle and funny puppy who is amazing with my older rescued Shih Tzu. This is my fourth Shih Tzu and I usually check rescue sites, but this breeder was very easy to work with, knowledgeable and told me everything I needed to know before I (and my rescue) made a decision. She facetimed with me and then came to my home with two puppies for my Shih Tzu to meet. Her puppies were healthy, well behaved, calm and playful.
