It works great for the most part, the only complain I really have is that we can’t use it to get my pup spayed. Other than that it has a quick turn around time.

Thanks for your feedback! As with most providers, our plan is meant to help protect you and your pet if they get hurt or sick unexpectedly, which you cannot plan for, unlike a spay that only occurs once and you can plan ahead for :)

It almost a month to get approval for dental surgery. We believe the approval amounts are fair but wish we could have gotten it sooner.

It took a little while to get reimbursed which is fine . My dog Nash had an illness and was treated at an animal hospital and then at his veterinarian as a follow up for the same illness I got reimbursed for the animal hospital visit but never got anything from the vet visit which was included in the same claim . It cost about $400 for the meds and vet visit .

Purchased Pumpkin pet insurance for 1 years old Goldendoodle. 20K/90%/$250 deductible for $55. Had 2 claims: one for diarrhea (went toward deductible) and 1 for paw treatment (poison ivy). Claims were paid fast. At age 2 premium $77. "Not due to claim history. But due to your pet's age and your location". I contacted them about this. Got reply: "Your pet is growing older.", "Rates and age factors are filed and approved by your state's department of insurance.", "Due to advancements in veterinary treatments, vets can now do more for our fur babies".

We do our best to keep our premiums low, but due to inflation and the increasing cost of vet care, as well as your pet aging, rates can increase year over year. O.K, the overall experience of buying my policy was smooth and Pumpkin is a good insurance. But, the declaration page I received with my policy was TOTALLY wrong from effective date to the premium. NOT something you want to see from your insurance company!

Keep in mind that the effective date is the day after you enroll, and that if you add Preventive Essentials to your plan, that would not be included in some of your policy documents since it is a non-insurance add-on product! I don't seem to be able to get an answer about reducing my deductible. And I really hate it when I can't get a person on the phone when I call. I realize you are probably short-handed, but for goodness sake, find a way to call people back instead of expecting them to be on hold for a long time. I have been somewhat successful getting a to my question by using email, but your representative obviously doesn't know the answer. Do I REALLY have to cancel my new policy and start over? I need to have this issue resolved asap.

Keep in mind our deductible options are $100, $250, and $500, and the lower the deductible, the higher the premium, and vice versa!

The actual purchase of the 4 plans for my pet family was simple. It was more Expensive than I had wanted it to be but wanted the coverage offered. Now I go to file a claim on three of my pets and tow r completely denied based on a loop hole with the other the pet. I’m not happy with the insurance overall and will be looking for Other options.

So sorry for any confusion, but all of your claims were approved- keep in mind approved services are first applied to your deductible if you have not met it yet for the year. This is something you can choose at enrollment or at renewal each year!
