I shopped around and found Pumpkins Ins to be more reasonable in their services and pricing. Even though their fairly new I decided to go with them. They were very helpful in assisting me. I gave them 3 stars because I haven’t had to use their coverage. I will post again when I do.

I neither like nor dislike since I purchased and the insurance hasn't even taken effect. I'll rate once I try to use it.

Insurance plan costs too much. I probably will have to cancel in the next couple months if I can't get a cheaper plan.

We'd love to chat to see how we can find a plan that works best for you and your budget! Keep in mind that paying less per month can mean paying more out of pocket when your pet gets hurt or sick. Our plans offer extensive coverage to help put your mind at ease from the unexpected!

Just found out none of the vets in my area take pet insurance.
Response from Pumpkin Pet InsuranceJan 18, 2023
Unlike a human health insurance HMO, your pet insurance coverage isn’t limited to a “network” of health care providers. Since we pay you back directly, your pet is free to receive treatment from any licensed veterinarian, specialist, emergency clinic or hospital you choose in the U.S. or Canada! We hope that helps!

The customer service is over the top . The only thing I didn’t like was you looked into my 2 vet visits and decided Joey had a pre-existing condition.

We definitely understand it can be frustrating when a claim is denied. Like most providers, we are unable to provide coverage for things showing signs or symptoms prior to enrolling or during the 14 day waiting period. That said, we can help with new accidents or illnesses that may arise in the future, and some conditions if they can go 180 days cured, treatment, and symptom free that could arise in the future as well!

I did not receive my reimbursement for the Microchip put in my dog Buddy. Why didn't I receive my reimbursement.
Response from Pumpkin Pet InsuranceJan 18, 2023
Thanks for your feedback! Keep in mind since the microchip is part of the insurance policy, you would need to meet your deductible before receiving a reimbursement. If you haven't yet met this, the microchip would be approved towards your chosen deductible!
