While mattress shopping I found Puffy's high reviews promising, but I now don't trust the authenticity of any of those consumer reviews. After browsing their site and seriously considering purchasing, I received a marketing email from Puffy about my cart and recently viewed products. The problem with that, is that I haven't created an account on the Puffy website, signed up for marketing emails, or provided any of my personal information voluntarily. That immediately stopped me from continuing to consider purchasing, because they're clearly purchasing tracking data from data brokers in violation of my privacy, which contrary to their goal of gaining sales, just lost them this one. The immediate pause this email caused also allowed me time to watch the constant site promotions, that claim to be for only a few more hours, end and immediately restart. That means they are clearly just another scam designed to create a false sense of urgency. Puffy's sales tactics are disgusting and I'm so thankful I received this privacy violating email before I accidentally supported a business this terrible!

Mattress develops BLACK MOLD
do not buy this mattress. Save yourself from the hazard. The mattress gets moldy and the company will blame you for it. I bought this mattress and it turned into black mold under five years. It was placed on a vented box spring, yet blck mold developed all over the bottom of it. Save yourself the health issues and do not buy a bed from this company. I am fighting for my health because of this company

Defective mattress design - No warranty
Received defective Royal Hybrid 14" mattress - - side did not fully expand. Was replaced...with another mattress that had more extensive defects - - head only expanded to 10.5", middle was 14" and foot was 11.75" - - so a 'C' shape. After being given the run around by 3 Puffy reps, the discussion concluded with Puffy stating that storing it in the box that they stored and delivered it in was 'improper storage' which caused the defects and they would not be replacing it. So, if you have an extra $3000 and are looking for a terrible mattress and dismal customer service, then Puffy is for you.

This is a company review and a warning…
This is a company review and a warning to anyone, for buyers find customer reviews outside of google, read reddit. Google reviews can be bought, and left by bots. For anyone falling into their employment funnel, check their linkedin, salaries 3-4x the average, multiple jobs promoted as remote but replicated across major cities and open for months and a recruitment process littered with reddit accounts confused and exploited by the process, they use adaface for screening which is a reputable company but the test i sat was missleading and not job role centric. Further to this, the company linkedIn page names 250-500 employees, only 40 have linkedin account which is alarming, and from checking each, many of these employees accounts are bot accounts. Check company work photos and read reddit for your own peace of mind. The ceo is supposed to be a self made man, a forbes hotshot but try to find a photo other than the one everywhere. IMO they have flooded the google search with biased paid reviews, even the positive ones here where clearly written with help of an ai with the recognisable emdashes. In my opinion their linkedin job posts are farming page subscribers posting empty job roles, with almost 130k which is more than most well known brands. Check their subpar linkedin content and instagram. Check these pros reviews against the real cons. And check again against what real customers are saying on other platforms. Check how many potential employees are calling this company a scam, an IP farming organization on reddit, reportedly stealing work, visual content and full ai pipelines from 'phase 2' case study assesments. I have deep dived into this company for 3 days. First for a job research, then for personal curiosity. There is a reason why trustpilot score is low vs other review platforms, this site is not pay to win like others. $1bn in sales thats 666666 beds sold with the average sale of 1500$ thats either a lot of quiet customers or 'inflated' metrics. A ceo self funded 'bootstrapped' startup with zero VC turning over 150m last year - as part of the job process i was encouraged to download items from google drive, and answer questions via google forms. For a $1bn company that spent 666k on IT this past year alone, this is shocking, a career platform run on free software - that was flagged by my own system as a potentially fraudulant fishing scam. They claim they are AI first since 2023 but open ai broke the seal in early 2024 publically... they claim they hire the top 1% talent but checking there linkedin, they are employing middle weight talent at the rate of 14 employees for 10000 screened in 6 months according to adaface and their website is in my opinion ai slop, which a 16 year old with claude code could build autonomously in an afternoon. The company images are ai which promotes perfect design but the reviews suggest otherwise. The company copy is littered with ai emdashes but they recently aquisitioned a talented copy writer which doesnt add up to me. The returns policy is littered with complaints, and the only good words i can find are on third party bed reviewers, and google - again i reiterate, google reviews are known to be bought online in minutes from bot owners, although google does its best to authenticate users on there platform. Blog pages can be bought. But humans - when experiencing pleasure or pain, cannot be fooled. Im not a forensic accountant but this all doesnt add up. For what company worklife photos i could find, seems like a lot of fun, nights out, games and meals in dubai but i wouldnt say this all adds up to a $1bn dollar corperate company. I wasn't convinced and dont let me influence your decisions, im simply sharing my analysis. Sure they are a legit furniture seller, but be careful with this company, they are predominantly selling in the usa, without visiting their factory and looking at there materials i couldnt comment on the claims of build, but as a designer, ai adept and tech entrepreneur this all smells very fishy, be careful buying something you have to lay on everynight. Especially when many users have experienced poor build and worse customer service. Due dilligence everyone [!]

Customer service is garbage
Customer service is garbage, but that is for the end of this story / experience.
I am a side sleeper and I have never had a mattress turn my limbs completely numb and make my entire spine feel like it has been hit repeatedly by a baseball bat. I only used it 3 nights and each morning I couldn't even sit up on my own power to get out of it because I was in so much pain on top of my arms and legs were numb. I contacted Puffy to return it for a refund they wouldn't begin the process until I had the mattress for 30 days. So I put my old mattress back on the bed and sat the Puffy in the bedroom for the next 27 days. The return process was HORRID. They have a 3rd party contact another 3rd party to come and pick up the mattress, but Puffy wants specific things from the 3rd party 3rd party company like an official letter head with specific mattress information documented on it in order to process the refund. So the day finally came when I could get rid of this 130lb paperweight from my bedroom. It was 2 kids in a pickup truck that took the mattress and claimed they couldn’t generate a reciept right there and I would have to take it up with the first 3rd party company in Georgia. (I live in Indiana). After considerable phone tag I got a hold of someone in the Georgia 3rd party company and they emailed me a generic email claiming they picked up a mattress. I forwarded that to Puffy support email to which an AI generated email states I don't have sufficient evidence / documentation to process the refund. Took a multitude of phone calls to speak to an actual human before they finally processed the refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PUFFY.
