Ptac newly received stopped working. Notified company of problem. No response even though I bought extended coverage on warranty.

I had a very disappointing experience with PTAC4Less due to poor communication and lack of follow-through. In December, I reached out to their customer support twice regarding the purchase of a refurbished PTAC unit and received automated confirmations both times, but never heard back from an actual person. I was also given a discount code, which stopped working the next day. I attempted to follow up but again received no response. By the time someone finally replied weeks later, I was told they are no longer producing refurbished units and once current inventory is gone, that’s it. Had anyone responded when I originally reached out, I likely would have already completed my purchase. Customer service responsiveness is critical when making a large purchase, and unfortunately PTAC4Less failed in that regard. Based on this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

During a company transition late last year, some inboxes and processes were not handled as they should have been, and your messages were regrettably missed. Got one with wrong voltage. Restocking fee and shipping makes it un doable. Will not use again

Hi Scott — thank you for your feedback. We understand how frustrating a voltage mismatch can be. For 265V PTAC units, our website displays a pop-up warning during checkout noting that these units are intended for commercial voltage only and requires confirmation before the item is added to the cart. Because the order was placed for a 265V model, our standard restocking and shipping policy applies. That said, we’re always happy to help customers confirm the correct voltage before ordering to avoid issues like this. I ordered units with sleeves and grilles, all that i received was the units so I am missing 5 sleeves and 5 grilles.

Do not buy anything from this company!!!! Bought a so called refurbished unit that did not run. The only thing that ran was the fan & it only ran on slow speed. Been try to get some response from the so called warrenty department and they say they will get back to me but never do. Going on two weeks since I filled out there warrenty form which says they will respond with in three days they never did. If you buy anything from this clowns you will regret it.

I was supposed to receive a $50.00 off shipping. Contact the company representative said the code had expired, I showed just that day the company was sending the same $50.00 off. I requested it and was informed I could not get a discount but could if I placed another order. The unit was not ship quickly as said would when purchased. And the shipping company told me it will not be delivered for 10 days and I was charged to much for shipping due to it was regular shipping and not over weight. I will not use this company again. PTAC 4 less make the prices look low but after shipping the price is same as other companies are changing plus other companies shipping is a lot faster. I sent one last email 2 days ago before I sent this review and no one reached back out to me.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for any frustration caused. Coupon codes can only be applied at the time of purchase, which is why it couldn’t be applied after the order was placed. Regarding shipping, we work with our carriers to provide the best service possible, but delivery times and fees are determined by the shipping company.
