So I got a suit and a shirt from them, and my experience is a bit complicated. First off the shirt came out pretty good, and I ended up keeping it as is, without doing a refitting. The shirt was pretty nice, and decent quality. My main issue is with the suit. The first fitting, the agent was very nice and polite. I was very happy with his service. The suit itself did not come out fitting me perfectly, although for a first fitting it was pretty good. So I went for a second fitting, and they remade the jacket and fix up the pants. But, what really bothered me was the agent. She was very patronising and demeaning, and she didn't really understand what I wanted. She ended up taking in the pants too much, and the jacket didn't either come out too great. So I'm stuck with a thirteen hundred dollar suit that doesn't fit too well. And I have no patience going back to fix these issues, only to be met by some patronising agent.

I’ve ordered from Proper Cloth intermittently over the years. Unfortunately, I’ve found that sizing is somewhat inconsistent from order to order (particularly after 1-2 washes) which is inconvenient for MTM garments like this. I’m also not a huge fan of their recent collar adjustments (the “collar roll” doesn’t look so great on a spread collar dress shirt IMO). However, I would say that their service has always been excellent - particularly at the NY showroom. Might be a good option if you’re not too particular about fit and just want a MTM shirting experience.

The clothes look way better online than in person. Also, I would say it is way over priced too. I have gotten blazer of the same or better quality off the rack at Jos A Bank, just being honest. Definitely not worth the close to 700 bucks I paid for it...

Jeez the titles of all the 5 star reviews seem like they’ve been written by marketing, don’t they?
