Prometric not capable of handling remote proctoring
I agree there should be 0 stars. Today I had a test scheduled for 9 am. I logged in to Prometric site at 8:30 am to ensure a smooth test. I waited for a "readiness agent" and completed environment test when it dropped the video. I then reconnected and was not able to obtain a readiness agent until 45 minutes later... I then successfully completed the environment test. After the readiness agent approved for me to take the test I waited 1 hour and a half for a proctor which never came to my screen. I called Prometric and waited 30 min for a phone rep which advised me to disconnect and log back in. I then went through the whole process again and was able to begin testing at approximately 10:45 (2 hours later!!!). My test was supposed to be 3 hours and I had waited 2 hours to commence. The whole time everyone in my home was advised to stay in their rooms so that i would not be disqualified. I was almost done with my test , when i took a break and returned when holding my laptop it dropped the video. I was advised to reschedule the test because of the logging off so many times even though it was their error. I was told to call Candidate @1-800-853-6769 which advised me to reach out to to my organization to see if they would even allow me to retake the test. My friend was a little luckier than I and only waited 45 minutes for a proctor which is still a significant amount of time. I searched and many others are having this same issue with them.Having done online school and taken many proctored test, I can definitely say this has been by far the worst test taking experience of my life due to Prometric.

If there were no stars available I…
If there were no stars available I would choose that. Was supposed to take a certification exam for nursing and this was one option vs a testing center during covid. So I chose them. Prepping for 3 months to take this exam and poof, they couldn't and DIDNT connect me to a proctor at all. Twice. I logged off, logged on and reloaded the app and still, 100+ minutes later I exited the app without taking the exam. It would be another 4 hours or so for the test too. Seriously, my time as a nurse right now is precious and I was doing this to keep myself busy, mentally prepared, and to better myself when all I can see around me is covid. Prometric doesn't OWE me anything, but seriously, just keep your commitments. I kept mine to you, paid, and now I don't know when I'll have the time to retest during this surge. FML.

Proctor Gave Us Misleading Information and Could not Speak or Understand English
Our ten year old son was scheduled to take his middle school entrance exam. His proctor could not speak or understand English. When a message appeared on the monitor that said enter HTML code she did not know what to do and simply kept repeating call the global testing center.
I asked, “Did I receive an email with this code?” She said, “Yes call the global testing center. They will give you the code.” Obviously, this made little sense.
After calling Prometric, it turned out the HTML code was a glitch and all you needed to do was leave it blank. The proctor did not know this and in fact kept repeating that we would receive the code if we called the global testing center.
I have now been on hold for over an hour trying to reschedule the exam. Overall, I give Prometric a 0 out of 100 on customer service.

11 year old suffers traumatic first standardized exam experience due to Proproctor
My 11 yr old son is applying for private school next year, which requires he take the ISEE exam. Due to the pandemic, testing centers were fully booked months ago in our area. Not to mention, the closest ones are an hour away. So yesterday he took the exam virtually via ProProctor. In short, it was a disaster.
We logged in at 1:25 for his 2 pm appointment to do systems and security checks. Due to a series of system crashes (theirs, not ours) and apparently, they "ran out of proctors," it took 7.5 hours for him to complete the test. I repeat, HE IS ELEVEN.
The first problem occurred after he had completed the first 2 sections, had his first scheduled break, and finished more than half of his 3rd section. There was a total system crash resulting in a "System error" screen. Their tech support was utterly useless - a link leading to an FAQ screen. So he waited anxiously, scared of breaking any rules or protocols, until finally calling out to me for help. He was a nervous wreck! Poor guy had studied so hard for this test, and now thought that all his answers were lost in cyberspace.
I tried to call the company but was lead to a useless automated bot. The only piece of advice we could find in the 150 page user guide was to reboot the system, which seemed like a certain loss of his work thus far.
After about 45 minutes of total frustration, the system magically restarted and an apologetic agent appeared. My child was assured that none of his data was erased, and asked to do the full security check again. A new proctor came on and repeated the security check. By the way, these security checks are nerve-wracking and anxiety-making. He completed all the remaining sections with exception of the 30 minute essay, and had his second scheduled break. This was around 5:45 pm.
He went through yet another security scan and waited for the proctor to begin the last leg of the test, which should have been 3 hours long in totality. No proctor appeared. He typed in the chat repeatedly and got no response. There was no message saying "there is a delay, please wait." Nothing. After another grueling 20 minutes or so, he again cried out for help. My father and I dialed random numbers listed for the company, and were finally able to reach a human on the phone, with a heavy accent and bad connection. We were told that there were no proctors available right now, and my son had to wait in a queue for 20 more minutes, with 22 people ahead of him. We went back forth with the rep, who kept putting us on hold to speak with his manager. At this point we had no faith that a proctor would ever become available. It was almost 7:30 pm. Every 15 minutes, he said it would be another 20 minutes wait. The rep kept telling us that the only option was to wait, or re-take the entire test at another time ... "free of charge!" My father exclaimed, "He is 11. This is child abuse!"
2 hours later, around 7:40 pm, a proctor was finally available. He was asked to do the security check again (for the 8th time of the day) and finally completed the test by 8:15 pm. He was starving, and exhausted. So were we.
It is my hope that he never has to take a virtual exam again, and I only pray that his future exams will not be negatively impacted by the memory of this experience. I would not be surprised at all if his tests scores are totally skewed, and he is a good student and very smart. I paid $200 for this crap! I will never give this company another penny as long as I live.

Prometric Sucks!!!!!
It is my son's ISEE testing day today. He has been instructed to do check-in 5 times simply because Prometric system is crushed again and again. No one picked up the call in the technical support hotline for nearly 40 mins. And after a remote tech diagnosis, Prometric technician has reset my laptop and asked my son to re-launched the system for the test. And it didn't work at all!! I called the number to reschedule the test and now waited for 1 hour and 16 mins no one answering the call. My son has been prepared this exam for more than a year, and this is what he has experienced today. The frustration is not only came from the badly built online exam system which wasn't working at all. Also, the technical said I shall contact Prometric to report the problem one day before the test. OMG!!! Has Prometric ever trained and told their own staff the fact that the tester cannot access the system beforehand at all. Prometric is an unprofessional organization that raped off the customer and it is not qualified to provide service in the education industry.

Worst Technology and Customer Service
I just took my test earlier this evening end it was ridiculously buggy to get started. I completed it and got an 87 as a passing score on my NMLS. Once I logged off I waited my results via email and chatted him to see when I could receive them and even logged in to prometric to try to see them. I still don’t see them and I’m very discouraged based on the other reviews I read. I have worked in software for 15 years and this is one of the worst services that is why we adopted drive ever ever ever seen.
