I bought a mid-level Gretsch electric guitar from Pro Audio Star. It had two minor manufacturing defects (b-stock?). A problem they could have solved in a number of ways. Instead they dishonestly said the damage "may" have happened during shipping and referred me to the optional shipping insurance they offer. I told them they could accept a return or I would dispute it with my credit card. Then they offered me a partial refund to cover the cost of the two parts.

I bought a Grech Gretsch G5422G-12 Electromatic 12-string - Single Barrel Burst, for 795.00 Jan 3 received it via FedEx signature requested free shipping, the box was re-taped so it seemed like it was a open box, supposed to be new, didn't like it and asked for a return. sometime later, I received $ 719.00. charged me shipping both ways, also if you look on site it says they can charge $150 for restocking fee. I won't ever buy from them again

Good price, but guitar was shipped with signature required, with no warning whatsoever. I would have gone literally anywhere else if I had known this.

I ordered a used guitar. The guitar I recieved was not just used but also damaged. No damage to the carton. I can deal with used but this was more than that. I sent it back. No acknowlegment that they recieved it. I talk to a rep and he said they got it and it takes 2-3 weeks to process. That means I wont see my money for a month or more. They sure took my money fast enough. Then when i told him I would put this in my review he hung up. I gave them 2 stars cause this is the 3rd guitar I have bought and only one with issues. The problem is their return service. Dont buy used you dont know what condition it will be in. They will send you a broken guitar and hope you keep it and fix it.

I purchased a "Used - Mint" condition guitar from ProAudioStar and it arrived in excellent condition cosmetically and I was initially impressed. I found out, however, that the tuner on the preamp was not functioning correctly. I replaced the batteries and still nothing. The return/exchange process could have been handled better. The staff, although friendly, have kind of a churn and burn attitude that doesn't seem to care if you might be a repeat customer or not. I was actually looking to possibly get an Ibanez AR325 from them but not anymore. I give them 2 stars on their friendliness, but removed 3 for quality control, dismissive attitude and just the general lack of wanting to make things right after it was deemed that it was their mistake. This is the second time an item I bought from Reverb has been misrepresented and it's going to be the last. I'll stick with Sweetwater, Amazon and even Guitar Center has provided me decent items that arrived as described.
