Scammers!!!! I called to see why I had a $1 balance and the blood suckers said a $49 charge was made in California and my card was compromised (I live in Charlotte NC and I never used the card). He wanted my full name, social security number, address, phone number and picture ID. I told the guy to burn in hell for taking advantage of people.

Absolutely ridiculous customer service! Received a $100 gift card from someone, used the card one time. The 2nd time was declined! Still $87 remain on the card, that now says fraud alert, and card was deactivated! Like a fool I have sent copies of my Identification and the actual gift card twice through their website! Now, they have the nerve to tell me I did it wrong! It's their system! Now they want me to fax copies of the ID, and gift card, at 150%, and 200% size so that I'm not mistaken again, and customer service can read the copies!! This company has had my money for 5 months, and looks like they do this stuff quite often! Looks like Kroger/giftcardbalance.com found a loophole. They hold our money for months make the interest of it and if they decide to settle which it looks rare, they are making money by holding our money as long as possible! Think they'll give us interest for holding our money for 6 months??? Kroger is an embarrassment to the gift card business! I hope our lawsuit takes a hold, and all that interest plus more comes back to us Jack!

SCAM AND RIPOFF> The sticker they put on the card which tells you to register it covers the 16 didgit code and when i peeled it off, it peeled off half the code so its useless. Now if I try and contact them they wont help unless i give them the original receipt and fax them a copy (Fax??? Is this 1992?) of my ID and info... When i try and use it as a regular card and swipe it, it will NOT go through... SCAM

Was given a giftcard from Prepaidbalance.com with everything from the activation code to the proof of purchase from QFC in Edmonds, WA. When I went to verify it via their website, I was met with an error and to call the 888 number. After being put on hold, I was informed that this card was blocked because of too many attempts to use it. It was a brand new card with all the packaging and codes in place. The only way I could use the card would be to use their *help* and send proof of my identity, via a governmental issued ID, phone number and the card. I said no way due to I protect my identity and would not send an ID to this company which has a bad reputation. Because I work hard to keep all my information safe, I have experience identity theft before, I decided right there I would go ahead and just *eat* the 100 gift card. This is so fraught with potential identity theft that it is scary. I'd rather lose $100. 00 than gain a headache. I just feel very bad that my aunt who gave me the card is out $100.00. I would feel worse if I or anyone else would be exposed to worse things via the internet scams. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

My brother sends me gift cards since he lives in another state. These visa cards never work and i asked him , why buy these things when money is good? dumb just does dumb. customer service is a joke and they just phishing for your personal info. do not ever buy gift cards when money is just fine. i would rate them a 0 but it doesn't allow you to.
