Highly disappointing a 2 star experience advertised as 5 star.

PFC promises fast results, and their approach is to push you very hard with a low calorie intake and intense exercise routine. That's probably a good formula for athletes, but it's not good for people who have struggled with weight for a long time and are desperate to make changes fast. I was very overweight, very out of shape and after having trouble finding the motivation to kick-start myself I thought that maybe a controlled environment, aka "fat camp", might be a way to get some fast results and get on the right track. I stayed at PFC for 4 weeks and lost 25 pounds. But the environment at PFC was unnatural and extreme and it didn't translate back to "real life". The weight came back after a few months. It wasn't until a year later, when I started a more moderate program of controlling my food intake and regular exercise that the weight came off, and stayed off (50+ lbs). The staff at PFC was for the most part very kind and empathetic, but the intense program put a lot of stress on everyone - during my 4 weeks there at least 3 people went home because of injuries sustained while exercising. Save your money, and your body. Find a local counselor who can help you to create a sustainable, long-term program that works for you. The results will come a little bit slower, but they will come, and there's a much better chance that you'll develop habits that you can live with comfortably and sustain.

It has been a few years, but my recollection is less than positive. The exercise classes were terrific with a big variety of activities. The lectures were generally horrible with misinformation especially by the staff "nutritionist"--not evidence based by any stretch. The excerise coaches gave the same bs talk 3 times during my 2 week stay--it seemed to me they were too lazy to prepare a useful talk. The food was medicore at best with no options.

Premier Fitness Camp (PFC) is housed in a building that is functional at best. The upstairs holds a room of tables and offices along with a kitchen. The downstairs gym is cramped, full of what feels like cast off equipment, old carpeting and so small that "outdoor stations" that are often without an instructor at the helm are created. The staff to camper ratio is 1:3-4 but in practice is more like 1:9 since the instructors are often occupied with their cell phones or each other. Personalized attention goes to those who clamor for the attention; yes, ask for the attention and become the "pet" and you will be helped. Anyone else, not so much. If you are in decent shape and exercise regularly when at home, I would encourage you to seek out a personal trainer at your home or gym. I think you will get much more of a benefit doing that, definitely more attention.
