PFC has changed my life and has become a place that I call my second home. They not only helped me physically but mentally. I’ve been on antidepressants since I was a little girl and didn’t think it would be possible to ever get off. I didn’t have a clear mind and the medication wasn’t serving me good at all. I decided to ween off the medication and knew PFC would be the right place to do it. Now I am off it and feel so much better about everything. Each one of the trainers and staff have the most amazing souls and have made relationships that will be for a lifetime. Rene, is a person I look up to very much and I know has an amazing effect on each camper. Her motivation , creativeness and love lights up a room and makes each camper show up everyday. Each of you guys have helped me individually and personally and will take everything you taught me and put it into my everyday life. I will be returning every summer, and possibly in December. I love all of you guys.

I signed up for two weeks at PFC, after two days of researching different camp options. This occurred in early July. The trainers are fantastic people with no exception. They demonstrate, explain, and teach the maneuvers. The second week improves by better conditioning and familiarity. There is great variety, with only occasional repeat in each class. CrossFit includes weight training, cardio, TRX, spin, yoga, boxing, Pilates and lots of hiking. The facilities are superb, at the PFC gym as well as the Omni La Costa Resort gym, which closes later at 9p. The meals by Chef Jason are incredible. Taste, nutrition value with serious concern for total calories, salt, sugar, protein and cholesterol. Food substitutes taste like the real thing. There are lectures on nutrition given by delightful dietitian and by chef, with emphasis on campers’ continuing the routine following departure. Useful side trips include grocery store shopping, athletic store shopping and an organic food market. Many, including myself, extend their stays. Many are return alumni. Some stay as long as six months. I intend to return often, as work permits. I also developed friendships. The three weeks made me healthier, lighter and calmer within. It is a vacation well spent.

I came in to PFC barely able to walk my Spent 10 weeks here lost 61 lbs and lost 19.5 inches They was able work with and modify work outs for me as my knees are bone on bone the trainers are outstanding the cooks are great the lectures are insightful the nutrition information is mind blowing how bad we actually eat PFC is a complete program with a no judgmental atmosphere for all ages

All of the trainers and staff were great. I learned a lot while here. They care about everyone here and work with you if you have any injuries. Also fantastic food. They work with you if you need special meals. Best fitness camp ever. I plan on coming again.

That's right -- it doesn't matter if you are in high school or turning 80, you will fit right in. The trainers will meet your needs and exceed your expectations. They are inclusive, knowledgeable, and fun. The chef is a central player too, and you learn how to prepare healthy, delicious menus. Add to that a nutritionist, behavioral therapists, and a chiropractor, each one skilled and responsive. Go for as many weeks as you can afford!!!

My husband and I were so impressed with every aspect of this camp. Key points: 1. Extremely well-run and well-organized 2. Knowledgeable and experienced trainers 3. Well-planned activities 4. Fun and effective 5. Great food We left camp after three weeks well-prepared for the next steps in our fitness journey, and hope to be back for a refresher course in years to come. Advice: a three week stay seems perfect.

The experience at PFC was unlike any fitness camp I’ve experienced before. While other camps have strengths and weaknesses, PFC is the first I’ve come across to have a true balance between empowering individual fitness, balanced nutritional gourmet meals and real behavioral changing education. The fitness staff was personable, motivating and highly engaged at every exercise session without fail. Chef Jason and Chef Andy were both outstanding and our meals were simply amazing. The nutrition and behavioral staff were likewise highly engaged and provided great support and knowledge to us between fitness sessions. Overall, this place is fantastic and my daughter and I had a fantastic time. We will be back!
