Sad Puppy O.
Such a horrible experience
Met in a Costco parking lot during the rain to get my puppy. Had to sign paper in the rain and wait for them to “brush” my Morkie puppy. She was handed to me with globs of hair mixed in her coat, she was very sticky and smelled from all the cologne spray, and I hurried her to my car. Brought her straight to the vet from there. Their diagnosis found her weighing at just 2.7 pounds which is less than when I purchased her, they said she was dehydrated, lethargic, had issue from her gums from dehydration which the stated as “deciduous”, and stated that her spine was “thin with spine palpable”. Within 48 hours, our new puppy was rushed to ER Vet. Three hours later, she had to be euthanized. I spent $599 for this “white glove service”. This was anything but white glove service. And when I later found out that our new puppy was in that van from June 17 through the 21st traveling around just broke my heart. Our puppy was in that van way too long and not properly taken care of. And it blows my mind when the driver told me he had 38 deliveries to make. So I’m asked to write a review…. and this is what I need to share. I was refunded just the cost of the puppy. However, I was NOT refunded for this horrible transportation service. It’s quite obvious how wrong this is and how the lack of care and concern for our puppy played such a role in her losing her life. I will tell anyone who asks about this transportation service NOT TO USE IT. This is the second time I’m sending this review. Let’s see if it is posted or responded to this time. I am furious and disgusted with our experience and the loss of our puppy. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else or to another puppy.

We would like to start by saying how sorry we are to hear about the loss of Victoria, your little Morkie puppy. We have looked extensively into what could have gone wrong and how to prevent anything like this from happening in the future. It does appear that the puppy lost three ounces of weight from the time the vet check was performed prior to the puppies pick up to the time the puppy arrived. The drivers did state that the puppy would not eat the dry food provided by the breeder during transit but liked the soft canned food of Science Diet they offered. They continued to provide her with that throughout the trip. They also stated that they relayed that information at the time of drop off. The puppy was active throughout the journey and showed no signs of distress at any of the comfort stops or while in transit. On the initial exam it does state the puppy was dehydrated and lethargic. It also states that a glucose test was offered but declined and no fluids were given. It's surprising that a glucose test, fecal test and fluids weren't done considering the stated condition of the puppy. The puppy went home at that point and was brought to the emergency vet two days later in distress where she unfortunately was euthanized. We do not have information telling us how the puppy was doing for those two days. When providing care for these toy size puppies it is always vitally important to monitor their activity and watch for signs of hypoglycemia. A puppy's glucose level can drop rapidly, often within minutes of not eating or fasting. Feeding nautical alone is not a supplement for food. Since a fecal nor a necropsy were performed it is impossible to determine what if any underlying issues could have contributed to the tragedy. I do know from the pictures the puppy looked clean and healthy at the time of drop off and it did appear to be drizzling rain. Our email and phone number were made available and had we known the situation we would have offered guidance and support from our on-staff vet. We cannot change what has happened and we feel terrible that it did. We will get with the vendor on refunding your shipping cost. I know that doesn't change what has happened, but we want you to know that we do care dearly for each and every puppy we provide a transport service for and are committed to safety and care for them during their journey.
