I felt that the PPI instructor was incredibly inexperienced and is not what I’d expect from a program that promotes itself as the go to for passing the PE exam. I was truly disappointed with the live class and even found myself getting more information out of the recorded lectures with a much more seasoned instructor.

The instructor was not prepared during some of the classes and made simple mistakes that made watch the live course untenable... Add to that, the instructor's connection would fail often, but he would indicate it must be issues with individual student's connection even after we had confirmed with each other that we could still communicate and he was the only one not connected... The delays in the transition to a new platform and the issues involved impacted my test date and original study plan.

Had issues with getting slides for classes, logging into sessions, etc. And the email address given does not send to anything, you just get an error back. Then I did the live chat and was informed she would email me an answer by the end of the day. Never heard a word. Emailed IT from the address my teacher gave me, received general responses and then once I took away the excuses they did not respond. Very poor help, IT, and follow thru for the money required. The man who did the recorded lectures did great at explaining details in a short but knowledgeable way for people that ha been out of college for a few years. My teacher on the other hand did a very poor job at explaining problems. If he didn't know about something or didn't want to do it he said "that's just how it is, I'm not sure why" or "you learned that in algebra or trig or something, I'm not going to explain it all out". Many of us take the class because we don't remember and sometimes we don't remember the little details that make the biggest difference. And if he didn't feel like doing a problem he would skip it and if he didn't want to do all the work for the problem he wouldn't and he would say "I don't want to do that". I just hope I can pass the test. Very disappointed for the money paid.

While the course did in fact help me pass the exam, their practice exams felt very dissimilar to the actual NCEES FE Electrical Exam that I took. Beyond the practice exams, the professor that I had (Gregg Wagner) was not great. I came into this course with next to no.educational background in the material covered and he made a point of saying that this course was designed for my exact situation. After several weeks of watching his live lectures I realized this professor was much better at reading the slides set up for him than he was at actually TEACHING the material. The only reason I believe I passed this exam and got through the course was because of the videos that PPI provided from a previous course led by Professor Dr. Ernie Kim. I can't give PPI a one-star because they did help me pass the test all things considered. That being said, the way they structure the course could use some serious updating and the professors they select for the courses need to be of higher quality TEACHERS.

I did not feel like the class prepared me for the exam well the questions were not that similar to exam and we did not work enough problems

I never received emails leading up to the class start. I had to call customer service and straighten that out. At that point, I had missed 2 weeks of the class. The instructor was also I’ll prepared for each session. That being said, the online content was very helpful. The practice problems and guidebook were all valuable tools.

Taking the FE Environmental Review. Expected tons of help and videos detailing how to go through the loads of questions. Turns out youtube has better stuff than this. They have less than 2 hours. IF THAT of content per topic within the FE. For something like Fluid Mechanics and other complex problems, you need hours and hours of review. Their solutions do not go through each step and why. And half of their problems do not pertain to something found in the FE handbook. That goes for things that are not just fundamental questions, but more so the math. They claim 1500+ questions. That's false. There was a few topics with not even 20 quiz questions in them. Really regret how much I spent on this, and am learning more by doing practice problems on my own and through youtube. Really irritating to say the least.

I get really focused when I take the quizzes offered and it just makes me mad whenever I come across a question that I cannot reference to the handbook. I need to get accustomed to the handbook for the test, and not all the questions offered help you with that.
