The class start date was not accurate. There were hours of reading assignments and practice tests due before the listed course start date. So immediately I was behind by almost a week. I’m still attempting to get caught up. With a full time job this makes it very difficult to do. I would’ve attempted to get a refund for this course but I need this to prepare for the FE and I don’t see any other options to get my money back at this point. Aside from this issue, there are a wealth of tools to use that are awesome but I was pretty disappointed with the scheduling inaccuracies. I don’t know if I’ll enroll in a PPI course again.

The videos are mostly just reviews questions, hardly any content being taught. Pretty disappointing videos. Questions and amount of questions are a bit better but they are kinda outdated.

Living in the west the classes were during the dinner hour 5-7:30PM which made it difficult if you have a family. If you in the east coast, it runs late to 10:30PM at which folks are tired and its hard to review materials when you are falling asleep. Our instructor was on central or eastern time and she kept yawning during lectures. At least two of three time slots should be made available. The scheduled time slots for the amount of slides for each day were grossly underestimated. We asked our instructor to add time to the lecturers and 30 minutes were added but even then the instructed had to rush through the materials very quickly to just get through the slides. There's a lot of material to cover hence the 100 plus slides for each lecture, but there just wasn't that much time to go through the slides at a reasonable pace. Before my classes started, I was unable to access all of the course materials and lectures. I called and left messages AND emails notifying you that the classes are coming up and I can't access anything. A week later, the classes started and I was in the same situation. 2 weeks later after the classes started I called 3 times that week. I was two weeks behind already on the review course. I was absolutely frustrated. The "helpdesk" services are extremely slow and unresponsive and unacceptable. It took much longer than 24hours to upload the recorded lectures (48-72 plus hours) from when the lecture took place. My instructor recorded her screen and not the PPi2Pass portal showing the slides and the chat messages so we I saw the recorded lectures, there was no way for me to know what the question exactly was or what comment were made in the group chat that the instructor was replying to. The instructor was very responsive to questions posted on the Forum and was helpful with exam taking tips and providing additional resources one can use during the exam.

I did the on demand option, I really disliked it. I used this program for my FE and absolutely loved it. When I used it for the PE Transportation, I felt like it lacked a lot of information and I failed my test. I felt extremely unprepared for the test, unlike I did with the FE exam.

The PPI2Pass Civil Engineering Water Resources course was not updated for the change to Computer Based Testing. Many of the course materials and practice problems rely on their own reference materials, rather than the resource that will be provided during the exam. PPI needs to update their curriculum to the year-round CBT format. In addition, I purchased a 30-day learning hub extension and was not able to access the learning hub. The technical support pages on their website as well as the chat are extremely unhelpful and are not up to date as they say the Learning Hub Extension is not available for the Civil Engineering PE course. With how expensive this course is, I would expect them to keep up with changes in the exam format and scheduling. I would suggest looking elsewhere for a Civil Engineering PE prep course and I will not be staying with PPI to study for the Seismic and Survey portions of the California exam.

Site difficult to navigate. Thread page not intuitive. First class the instructor was late by over 30 minutes. Second class the instructor canceled class over 30 minutes late because she couldn’t get system to function. Instructor openly stated she is not familiar with the current FE exam and that is teaching the course for the first time. She is filling in because no one else was available to teach. Thus she has little relevant and current information about the exam. So, 2lessons in I feel I should have selected a different vendor. Definitely not worth the money.

My class was a solid 2*. I took an online class to prepare myself for the HVAC & Refrigeration PE exam. The class was from 8-11 PM EST Mondays and Thursdays. I found this class schedule to be untenable as an east coaster who has to wake up early for work. It really ruined my experience and the overall value of the class not being able to watch live lectures and having to watch recordings.

Not enough questions with photo cases which is about 15% of actual test.
