I ordered my iMac on the Sunday following Black Friday. I was very impressed receiving an email asking if I wanted to trade the trackpad for the mouse, which was exactly what I wanted. I replied but did not get a response. I called and spoke to my contact, but she was overwhelmed and said that she would call me back, which did not happen. I sent her another email, which went unanswered. I received both the mouse and the trackpad, and I had to reach out myself to correct all of this. Good intentions but poor execution.

We're very sorry that the speed of our communications did not meet this customer's expectations. While PowerMax prides itself on promptly replying to every communication, we have to admit that this time of year is one where it is the most difficult to do so, and in fact the one day delay in responding was on our very busiest day of the year. We will continually strive to respond as promptly as humanly possible.

Started good but went bad....
Thought a refurbished computer was a thoughtful choice, unfortunately, several weeks after purchase (and a few days after getting completely settled), the old owner locked me out by remote lockout. Powermax says it I s an Apple issue. They offered to trade it (expect several weeks)....or send another now - charge me....then credit when they get it back. Or - I drive it over to Apple to have everything erased so I can start again. All options = it wasn't worth it.

We're certainly sorry that Katie experienced an issue with her computer. When Apple creates new anti-theft schemes, we're sometimes left scrambling to figure out how to best deal with them. The irony with this dissatisfaction is that it highlights exactly why someone should buy a computer from an Authorized Reseller like ourselves... when confronted with never before seen problems we naturally can and will provide recourse, as we did here in providing a full refund for the computer. We also can work with Apple to determine how best to prevent it in the future. To be honest, since this was the first time we'd experienced this issue, we didn't immediately respond as thoughtfully as we should have; Katie provided a great example to us as to how we should have responded and we took that to heart, it was better written than what we came up with as we were scrambling to figure out what was going on. It's unfortunate when one customer has to experience something for the first time, but her experience paved the way for us to eliminate the potential of that problem, as remote as it is, in the future.

Don't buy on a Friday, the fast service goes down the toilet.
I explained to the sales rep that I had broken my iPad and needed one as soon as possible. She was very nice and helpful.
Part of the problem was my debit card was rated for $1000.00 in one day. I raised it as sone as I was notified Monday very early. Called back as was told my debit card didn't go through even though I called John and asked him to pass it on as i wanted the iPad by Wednesday!
Then, they held it up because of the cover for the new air! I say forget the cover ship the iPad!
I can't go on, it still irks me. It took 8 days for a product you had in stock!
Apple would have had it delivered in two days and I gladly would have paid the taxes and whatever other charges.
The long and the short is : I wanted an iPad right away and I didn't get the service from your company.
I was going to buy a Mac Pro 15" in the near future, will I buy from you? I don't think so.
Very disheartened ,

We're certainly sorry that Mr. Trexler didn't have an optimum experience at PowerMax; that's by far the exception to the rule.
Unfortunately, sometimes circumstances accumulate on certain orders that are outside of our control. The order was received on a Friday afternoon with a request to receive it within 3-4 business days. As much as we try and get orders out placed in the afternoon the same day, sometimes things kick to the next day. In this case, that made it a Monday, at which time the credit card declined. Once we straightened that out, it was shipped the next day and received on the next Friday, which is right at the 3-4 day period after the credit card issue got straightened out by the customer. While we all would have preferred a day or two earlier, of course, it did ship the day after the credit card decline was cleared up.
We should note here that PowerMax is a full-service, consultative operation that specializes in a human touch. As a result, we choose not to work on weekends since we place a high premium on our employees' happiness in both work and home. So while we might not be the "conveyer belt operation" seen around the web whereby orders are basically handled by a machine with very little human interaction, the overwhelming outpouring of affection we continuously receive from our customers tells us we've touched a nerve that many people appreciate. We're sorry it didn't quite happen this way in this instance.

Do not buy software from this site. If the software doesn't work, they don't take it back. They deny any and all responsibility.
I purchased iBank4 and Microsoft Office for Mac. Neither product key would work. As is their policy, Powermax would not take back the software. Microsoft did come through with another download so that I did not have to pay more. My problem with Powermax is that if they are selling a defective product, they should have a mechanism for taking it back.
