Most online companies have very little contact with the customer after the order is placed. Michelle (at Powermax) was a whole new experience. She initiated contact with me to be sure all was going well with my order. We communicated back and forth several times. I had no doubt I could call on her at any time during the transaction should I need to. Very good experience all around.

I had been a HP windows person for the last 30 years, but didn't like windows 8.1. My wife & son use Mac's and suggested I try one which I did. It looked great when I took it out of the box, all the parts were there. But I didn't see any instructions on what was what, couldn't find the power button hidden on the back side.All the other ports were also on back and hard to read or hook up if you can't see them, this is a big piece of equipment trying to turn around and over to read what was what. It took me 4 days to discover that I had a DVD drive built in to the computer and also the digital memory card slot. I called your company and spoke with Gary Mead who was our agent, he was a great help, he stayed with me until I got all of my questions answered. Give him a special thanks from me. You need to supply a diagram of the computer that would show where and what buttons were on the machine. So far the computer has been working great, it may take me a little time to get use to the Mac, but I'm going to give it my best effort. Thanks, Dean M. Sweetwood 386-615-0913

Thank you for your kind comments Dean. We know computers can be a little complicated, and most manufacturers have moved to having all of their support information on the web. We're happy to help, however, whenever a customer has any questions whatsoever. We would only add that your comments don't match your single star rating... from your text it would appear that you might have meant to give a higher rating?

PowerMax is a great resource for buying a computer. You can talk to the same person. I've worked with the same sales person for around 10 years and three computers. She can help guide me and sent me an article that helped in my decision making about laptop versus desktop. I think there prices are good and with the free shipping/no tax. They also have refurbished which have worked great for me.

The PowerMax website implies that they ONLY offer the pre-configured systems. I had to call them to find out that we could order ANY system configuration available from Apple. I almost went to Apple directly to get what I wanted. But I made the call to PowerMax and glad I did. I saved a fortune! And the service was outstanding even during the holidays!
