About PowerBlock

PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

My deepest apologies for the delay in receiving your Straight Bar. It appears that this item was misplaced in transit. I have gone ahead and sent out another bar with an expedite of 2 days, and I have already started the claim process with UPS from our end. Powerblock is #1 in adjustable dumbells!
I was lucky enough to get a good deal on Powerblock Sport dumbbells (10-50lbs) but needed a bit more weight so I purchased the 50-70lb expansion set. It arrived ahead of schedule, packed adequately in cardboard and styrofoam. Use was easy, I plunked my 50lb dumbbells into the expansion "shells" and adjusted the tandem locking peg and I was ready to rock!

Power block weights are some of the best Product on the market.
I had Power Block weights for many year, they are one of the best products out there. I wanted to increase the weights that I owned already so and purchased the stage 2 kit. I have to say that It doesn't matter how much weight you are lifting, the pin stays in place and the weight doesn't budge. The structure of the weights are sturdy and overall well put together. I am very happy with my purchase.

well worth it
I was very hesitant to buy these but once I bit the bullet I have no regrets at all, great product, easy to use and they make working out fun again. The only down fall is that the 130lb big block upgrade is no longer available for the classic elite( ones I purchased). Hopefully powerblock will start making these kits available again because i would really like to have it.to complete the set. I would recommend these to anyone looking to purchase them.

Excellent Product!
I bought the U-90 set as an upgrade to my old “Personal Plus” set of Powerblock dumbbells so I was already familiar with the ease of use of this product. The new set arrived in perfect condition in 4 boxes with each section packed in fitted styrofoam enclosures which proved more than adequate in preventing any damage during shipping. Once opened, I was impressed with the quality of construction and materials used. The urethane coating is both attractive and quiet when in use. I also appreciate the ergonomically shaped handles. Although I’ve only had this set for a few days I can say that I am very pleased with this product.
