Unit may take more time to change water temp then I expected but seems to be pretty energy efficient. A few months after I installed the heater/chiller I also changed the pool pump to a programmable variable speed pump. My wife likes the pool at 85 degrees. we got an extra 2 1/2 months use. The first month and last month cost me more than the other months but with the variable speed pool pump my cost to have the pool at the perfect temperature all season was about the same with the heater/chiller as it cost without it and the single speed pump. The point I’m making is buy the heater/chiller and upgrade to the variable speed pump and your energy cost will seem the same.

The variable speed pump that I bought for my pool works very well and I was happy with the price and quick service.

This Gulf Stream heat pump works great! Asa was so helpful quickly responding to our Questions. The heater ran overnight and warmed our 62 degree pool up to 85 by the next afternoon. The night temps were mid 40s and the afternoon temp was 72. The kids loved the warm pool water!

Am very happy with this heat pump. Having young children swimming is a pleasure when the water is warm. The pump is easy to use and warms the weather fast. A very good buy.
