At first I thought, wow, what a great service. Told a bunch of people about it. Then as I was attempting to book a trip, following instructions, I transferred points to an airline. Once that was done, the airline page showed $6k in additional fees that needed to be paid to finalize the itinerary. Needless to say, I did not book the trip. I also can't retrieve my miles, and now they're stuck in a limbo of Avios, which I don't really use. When I inquired about it, a point.me representative told me that I was basically out of luck. I won't be recommending their service any longer.

Disappointing
Disappointing. Basically, the output points.me gave me was exactly what I could get from the airlines...nothing more. Waste of $20 (fortunately, I signed up for the monthly).
DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great marketing and hype but better off with ChatGPT or Claude
First they tout a monthly plan but charge you for the whole year without any heads up. I also found that the site does not give the entirety of the results and I certainly did not find them current. In checking San Francisco to Sydney yesterday it was missing Aeroplan and Asia miles points which were more attractive. I certainly did not get the results that I did from ChatGPT. In a couple of instances the data was inaccurate and it did not match up with the airline results. Great marketing and hype via social media but an AI Chatbot is more dependable.

Mixed Experience with Point.me — Security and Process Need Major Work
I worked with James at Point.me over the course of about a month. On the positive side, he was extremely patient and flexible as I went back and forth trying to decide on a trip. I was definitely indecisive, and he handled that aspect very well.
However, the overall process left much to be desired — and for $260, I expected more professionalism and structure. I had to fill out the same intake form three different times due to apparent system issues. As someone with 25+ years in tech, I can confidently say this wasn’t user error. It raised serious questions about where my information was going and why it wasn’t properly received or stored.
Communication was inconsistent. While James called me at the beginning, later interactions required third-party authentication codes via text, which often failed. It would have been far easier and more secure to continue with a phone call.
Security was my biggest concern. Sensitive information, including my wife's birthdate and passport details, was requested via unsecured email. I was also instructed to change my British Airways password to give them temporary access — again, with no post-process guidance on restoring account control or removing James as an authorized user. These steps are obvious to someone with a tech background, but would be risky for a less-informed customer. The lack of secure data handling is, frankly, unacceptable.
After the final booking, there was no confirmation from James. I only knew the ticket was booked because I got a British Airways email. I had to follow up to ensure things were moving forward — again, not something you should have to do after paying for a premium service.
To add to the frustration, the survey they sent for feedback expired before our booked trip even took place, preventing me from giving formal input.
In short: James was helpful in some respects, but the Point.me system is disorganized, insecure, and overly reliant on user effort. I can’t recommend the service in its current form.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We're really glad to hear that James was patient and flexible throughout, but it's clear the overall experience didn’t meet your expectations, and for that, we're truly sorry.
You’ve raised some serious and valid concerns around process, communication, and especially data security. We're actively working on improvements in all of these areas, including:
- Ensuring intake forms don’t need to be re-submitted and that data is properly stored
- Replacing unsecured email workflows with safer ways to share sensitive information
- Providing clear guidance when temporary account access is needed, so customers know how to reset credentials and remove access
- Improving post-booking follow-ups so no one is left wondering if a booking went through
We also really appreciate you calling out the survey timing issue. That’s something we’ll be adjusting so customers have a chance to share feedback after their trip.
Thanks again for taking the time to share all of this. Feedback like yours helps us improve the experience for everyone. If you’re open to chatting further or giving us another shot in the future, we’d love the opportunity to make it right.

Very out of touch with their customers.

I have used this service for over a year to find point availability with Avianca flights mainly. 2 Months ago, the integration stopped working. I reached out to their support team, and they thanked me for alerting them (they did not even know the problem existed), and sent me on my way. I requested that they add a warning banner alerting people who are paying for this functionality to the site, because I was going crazy before I concluded it had to be a bug. Rather than crediting me, or offering to credit others, they basically said screw off.
Just another big tech company that cares about money only. Trust me, take your searching to Roame Travel. Much better customer experience.
