Backbone Labs, Inc.Reviews of playbackbone.com

I received the backbone PS edition controller as a gift 2 years ago. Overall it's really fantastic to be able to play games correctly with a physical joypad that is lightweight, small when folded and greatly functional when used. The thing that turn down the notation is that in 2 years I had to have a replacement after 1 year (one of the joystick was dead) and now, 1 year after The left joystick won't click anymore. So far backbone is telling me that I can't have it replaced because my purchase is too old. So be prepared to spend 100+ euros/dollars for a thing that will barely stand 1 year of not so intense playing. (mainly PS Remote play on my phone). A shame because when it works, it's great.

The product isn't something I can use or would even suggest to anyone. Buy a dedicated system for less and have more options. Support was excellent and even paid for it to be returned, which is why they've got 3 stars instead of 1.

I purchased the Backbone One 2nd Gen from Amazon for my S24 Ultra, and it has proven to be efficient. The application for $40 per month is beneficial in connecting through preferred games on Xbox One X and Steam, as well as the Geforce Now app. Additionally, the controller possesses its effectiveness, although it will not function properly on a PC or tablet when connected via USB C.

So the adapter itself works great but with the flattest case I can find which is the Apple branded cases unfortunately I can’t use the Backbone because the case makes it just too thick by maybe a couple centimeters

This product was really a 5/5 until I bought a iPhone 13 pro. I don’t think I would’ve minded needing the attachment piece but I owned it for 2 weeks before I got the new phone. So, that’s partly my fault for not waiting. I waited for about 2 months to get attachment from Backbone. I should have found it for sale sooner online from Etsy or something. Regardless, it still doesn’t fit as well as it did on my iPhone 11. And I feel like it scratches my camera lens every time I put it on. I love the controller but between having to take off the case, my lens cover, needing an attachment and still not a perfect fit, it’s just not a perfect product for me anymore. This is a perfect product and worth the money to right person though.

I feel like the joysticks are to sloppy that's the only thing I don't like about it other then that I think it's the best iphone controller out there. Has a snug fit and the app is nice as well.

Cloud gaming off Xbox is slightly laggy. I understand that it’s still a beta but that’s something they need to fix. Makes it hard to play games like Forza and Skyrim where you need it to be as quick as your own reflexes. Works great with games off the App Store though, like COD mobile.

I would have preferred to have the iPhone 13 pro max adapter ship at the same time. Im glad the backbone shipped quick, but I would have rather waited 3-4 weeks to have them together. Now I’m stuck here starring at my backbone.
