Backbone Labs, Inc.Reviews of playbackbone.com

The backbone device is really cool to have as a gamer on the go… I would’ve gave you guys 5 star but I’m still waiting for my iPhone 13 pro max attachment it been almost 6 weeks for me and I still haven’t got any emails about it…

Great product once you strip your device down to its bare minimum. The product does not allow the user to have any kind of case or cover on their phone while using it. While using the device with the IPhone 12 Pro Max, it scratches the one camera wheel. When it comes to using the product for games and actual use, I can’t find any faults. Nice button layout and crisp feel make games feel like they were designed for the controller.

I’m still waiting for the adapter for the iPhone 13 pro max to give a full review

I really love the feeling in my hand holding and playing with the back bone but don’t like how it does not fit my iPhone 13 pro max properly. I’m still waiting to receive the adapter.

I love the idea of the Backbone. I give it 3 stars mainly for comfortability and it works great for certain games on the App Store. However my main reason for getting the backbone was to be able to play Xbox game pass and use remote play with Xbox/ps4 but it’s so laggy that you can only play the game for like 5 minutes. I read online that you would have to disconnect certain devices from your Wi-Fi to make it run faster but even then it remained slow and skipped way too much. I was thinking that the devs should make an app where you play all of your Xbox games without the need of the console being around and it would require an internet connection but you wouldn’t need to disconnect any devices. I tried using it on LTE but that’s even worse. It has alot of potential but still needs work.
