This place was awful. I was literally just trying to GET a policy and couldn't even accomplish that. I did the online quote, called the number it said to call, they then said they had to transfer me to someone else to move forward. The call never went through. I called again, they transferred me and it went to voicemail after ringing for 3 minutes. Then I called again, they get my info AGAIN, then transferred me, and the person I got had NO clue what was going on. They didn't know my name, the business I'm asking for or even why I was transferred there, SO THEY TRANSFERRED ME AGAIN! Then it came back to the SAME person and she had to TRANSFER ME AGAIN! and then the call dropped. GET Your Business Together- I'm embarrassed for you.

Terrible insurance, terrible customer service, can't get anyone to answer the phone, can't get any calls back, they make you pay 5,000-10,000$ more at the end of the year if your policy is wrong, they give no guidance on work comp insurance or how it all works, they take your money and it's a nightmare dealing with anyone to get it back. Like any insurance company....they straight up suck and scam people out of thousands with their terrible audits of people and give no justification on why you owe an additional 5,000-10,000$

I had to claim an employee who injured his shoulder. According to Pie Insurance, they proceeded to tell me that the employee can lift 10 lbs., so I continued to schedule the employee. After a second trip to the doctor, again Pie stated that I need to put him on the schedule because he can lift 10 pounds. Now they are being sued because they can't tell Left from right! He wasn't to lift anything and could only lift 10 pounds with his good shoulder. NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY! They dropped me for Adverse Loss Performance; it was their fault. Own up to it!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I own two small businesses that closed in 2024, and I'm STILL waiting for the audit refunds! They also charged me for 2025, and have refused to refund THAT premium, as well!!! There is never anyone to talk to by phone, and they refuse to answer emails. That's the short version, I have stories for days, but suffice to say I regret ever signing up for Pie! Do NOT use them!!! And to the marketing person who replies to all of these awful, 1 star reviews, how about you encourage your higher-ups to actually provide decent service, instead of giving us useless platitudes about how much you care about the customer's experience? You don't care, that's obvious, and how you've stayed in business is a mystery to me.

Do not ever! Cheaper is not always betterStill dealing with these people a year after cancellation! Billed my card 3 times two months in a row during audit that i had no time to complete as it was during the last two weeks of tax season! After repeated attempts to cancel policy finally succeeded them was billed another several time for over $1k , now getting call for collections for another $1100 for a a audit! Hell they already stole that much . Will update again. If you have this company please do not give any credit card or debit! You will regret it eventually!

I opened a business and it was only open for three months. I think I had to put a 25% down and they took it out of my credit card every month. I had already overestimated the payroll for the month each month so I canceled the policy on February 2, 2025. My business has closed. I did not have a Workmen’s Comp. claim they build my credit card in February. They build my card in March and now sent to me in March. They want me to do an audit and turn in all sorts of personal information on my employees like what were their jobs what did they do? What was their title? How much did they make each week each one individually and I didn’t have that many employees but there was no claim on the policy. I don’t think I have a right to give out all that information to them about my employees or that they have a right to ask that and they have so over billed me and owe me A refund and they just keep stalling and want me to do paperwork. Worst company in the world to deal with! If I could give them a zero rating, I would do not let them automatic bill you or they will just keep on doing it and you have to fight to get the money back on a business that’s closed and has no employees and they just keep billing you on your credit card. Do not deal with pie Insurance!

Here we go again. Once again and hopefuly the last time I will ever have to deal with Pie Insurance. You have been a pain in my butt. I was informed in Feb that I owe $1900 from an audit. Im sure it is not right but that is fine. I want to get them out of my life. Well they attempted to take it from my checking account, I assumed it was successful because though I put a block on it because they were making un authorized withdrawals last year, they successfully made a $3200 after the block. Well I guess this time it was unsuccessful. They let me know that I still owed mid March and I had 7 days to pay before they may send it to collections. There is no maybe. They will send the unpaid audit to collections within a month of informing you owe. Credit card companied give you more time.I attempted to pay around day 8 because of the weekend. They informed me that it was already sent to collections. I called collections and they didn't have my info. I called Pie back. I spoke to a lady who told me that she would email them to get it sent back to billing so I can pay it and I would recieve an email. I never got an email. I called again a few days later. I spoke to another person and he couldn't figure out if I owed anything because in their end says it was payed for even though it was never charged on my end. I informed him that i was never charged. He had to call me back a couple of hours later to sort it out. It was confirmed I still owed. He let me know that he would call me back in a couple of days and this I believe was Monday or Tuesday if this week, with the update on how I could pay, it is now Friday. I have not received a call or invoice. The fact that I have to continue to call this company to try to make a payment so I can get this audit closed out and I don't have to deal with them again is beyond frustrating. This company once again is incompetent on running a business and continue to pull one over on small businesses. Last time I had to report them to the insurance department. And it looks like I'm gonna have to take action once again. I'm hoping they see this review and get in contact with me, because I am over continuing to reach out to them, and I have recorded my conversations that I want to get this taken care of and pay for my outstanding bill, so I can move on.

Complete scam!!! Stay away from them. They will charge you at the beginning and even after cancellation they will just say there was an audit and unfortunately had to charge more. Would not recommend to any small business, worst company to deal with. DO NOT GET INSURANCE HERE!!!
