My guitar playing has progressed so much since starting with Pickup Music. The structured learning keeps me motivated and there's a really personal feel thanks to both the feedback the team provides and the lively community in the comments sections. Would absolutely recommend.

Pickup Music is the best online learning platform I've ever come across for guitar. It's given me structure and has helped me escape from the sporadic, piecemeal way I was learning guitar before finding the site. I haven't even made it through the second grade of the jazz course, but it already feels like my guitar playing has grown exponentially. My only problem with the site is that I want to learn every style available, so I've been jumping around more than I should. If you can stay focused and commit a little time every day to the lessons, I think that it could be one of the best investments anyone could make for their playing.

I really value my experience at Pickup music. Sam and the team have helped me develop as a guitarist and musician so much and I was able to make consistent progress and still am! Somewhere in July 2023 I decided to start with the Neo Soul learning pathway as I was developing a passion for RnB music. I found the courses consistent and was able to easily reach the teachers if I had any questions. If you're looking to learn a specific style of music and are tired of learning from YouTube which can be inconsistent, then I would definitely recommend subscribing to Pickup music ❤️

Okay, here is the deal. Lessons are constructed in an intuitive manner and the syllabus makes sure that you repeat important skills and vocabulary at least a couple of times. Even though I have required minimum amount of support, I got surprisingly quick responses when I did. The overall vibe in the platform is very uplifting, and despite being mere video recordings, the lessons feel pretty interactive. There is no pace dictated here, you can pretty much follow along each lesson and course in your own terms. I would recommend this to; The beginners who want to start with a proper and encouraging plan. Intermediate level players who want to expand their vocabulary. And maybe some advanced level players interested in various perspectives and attitudes towards teaching music.

Due to amount of daily errands, work and family, it was extremely hard for me to find time to play guitar. I played quite a while ago, and bared the idea in my mind to come back to music and improve my skills, but couldn't find a proper way to organize myself. With Pickup Music all troubles went away, all lessons and pathways are so structured and well organized, so I never have to think about what exactly to do with guitar, the only thing I have to worry about is to pick up my guitar and run their web app. So far I've almost done only one pathway, but it has already pushed my skill way more than I could ever done myself. I also appreciate a lot the way Pickup Music provides feedback in each grade of the pathway. It's extremely helpful as they give personalised advices (the advice to reduce tension really made it, thanks Ben Thomas!), and besides that, they provide positive feedback as well, which inspires a lot! I have no doubts Pickup Music is a right choice if you want to focus on music and guitar but not on looking for resources to learn.

Pickup music has given me an incredible amount of direction with their online learning resources. I was struggling to find a well-structured but also engaging intermediate jazz curriculum online. I was even starting to consider local universities and their short courses. Now I'm making great progress with Pickup and the feedback from experienced players is a really gentle way of getting comfortable playing in front of others in a positive environment. I couldn't be more grateful to Sam, Karl and the rest of the team at Pickup. Well done all.

I've learned so much in the beginner and intermediate courses than I ever did when I was paying for private in person guitar lessons. Pick up music really fits my learning style because they give you everything you need upfront and you can just go through every lesson at your own pace. The lessons are fun, engaging, and overall good for the price. They will check up on you. I mean it!!, I thought the messages were from robots😅. You can also message for help, post in the community forum to other members, or just attend the live weekly meetings. Pick up music is great if you like to learn on your own but, still want to get feedback, and want to be apart of a community. Go for it!!
