Pickup MusicReviews of pickupmusic.com

bite size lessons that I can't help but come back to on a daily basis. A great mix of theory and techniques as well as fun exercises.

I started using Pickup music a few months ago and I have seen a significant rise in my interest to pick up my instrument and learn something new everyday. In addition to the countless content they offer on various areas of interest, the tutors take their time to explain and help you practice on what ever you might be working on. They also offer a conducive learning environment with structured lessons from introduction to advance levels through Grades. Overall it is a inspiring experience.

The instructors make it a pleasurable learning experience. They are excited to teach. I enjoy the step approach of each lesson with the challenges and especially the reminders not to move forward if your not comfortable. Customer Service needs more people on staff so that they can respond to the issues. But they are willing to make it up to you, and they are willing to admit when it's their fault very rare in today's business environment. Development could use some work.

Hi! Info was great, but, did you came on today? I was searching at 10 am, is it every Mon? But, great so far, thanks for answering my tuning Q, at the last session.

I like the course content. Previously used Fender Play but I find the master classes on here more guided and complete. I feel like I’m getting a more rounded education, whereas Fender’s lesson plans feel more segmented. Where Fender Play does shine is with “guitar karaoke,” their UI is more user-friendly (better sound options, with or without a metronome, counting in, no background noise, etc.). Some of the demonstrations are better on Fender Play for beginners as well. I’ve found myself getting lost quite a few times on here. There are typos that make me feel like I don’t understand anything (e.g. notation that doesn’t match what I hear). So far my favorite instructors are Dr Molly and Sam.

Just one word! Awesome! But i want to give a request, why don't you guys add new masterclasses and lessons not just for guitarist!? For example, music production, singing! It would be amazing!

I’ve been with pickup for a LONG time and haven’t used the service in a while; however, I haven’t unsubscribed because I feel that they make content in an appropriate way for those learning and looking for motivation and want the service to thrive for those who do use it regularly. The depth of content is incredible and the outreach is also thorough through social media. I think the reason I’ve moved away from regular use is that the content isn’t always directed towards my goals and learning type. I’ve retired myself from “Instagram” playing for the most part and am trying to develop new techniques. Lately I’ve been interested in more in depth courses that delve into concepts more thoughtfully, I.e. Cory Wong’s new course. More often than not I don’t think I’m interested in the format of “10 Licks like ‘fill in the blank’” and want something deeper. Again PLEASE keep these types of content rolling because it helps people who are new and wanting to learn, but as a player of about 16 years I just need more involved learning/performing. Thank again for the service!
