Pickup Music is a fantastic structured learning platform for guitarists. It has a great variety of styles, which they are always looking to improve, with talented teachers. The lessons are fun and focused on making music, whilst improving your technique, understanding and ear. For me, the best part of Pickup is the learning pathways that take you through a set of "grades" for a style of music e.g. rock, blues, jazz, neo soul. At the end of each grade you get the opportunity to send in a video of a performance piece and get personalized feedback. That always helps with spotting areas that need to be improved, with practical tips to do that. I've been a member for over 18 months now, and I can see a marked improvement in my playing over that time.

This pathway is the only way to go, at least for me. Learning the CAGED system was an immense help in learning the guitar and truly enjoying the whole fretboard. I learned the pentatonic CAGED system first and this took me a few months to nail moving up and down the fretboard. I memorized the major and am now starting to move up and down the fretboard. Absolutely critical you learn this to understand the guitar.

I have played for over 50 years.Professionally for 15.So,I knew my way around the neck and chord composition but still so many holes.After going through,Caged system and the intermediate and advanced intermediate sessions,I can honestly say the structure of lessons has helped a great deal in connecting what was never before connected!The jazz module is again,filling those spaces that were missing.Thank all of you at Pickup Music!

The subscription to this site is worth every penny. As an intermediate guitar player my skills as a player has grown exponentially in the last 9 months since I’ve signed. I fell in love again with the instrument and I’m playing in ways I never thought ever possible.

I've been using Pickup Music for a while now, and it's truly elevated my guitar skills. For years, I was stuck strumming the same chords without really understanding what I was doing. This course has changed all that, giving me a much better grasp of the fretboard. The classes are really well structured, ensuring that learners aren’t overwhelmed. Instead, they ease you into mastering the guitar. Definitely money well spent!

The lessons are very high quality and teachers are very good. The pathways give a very helpful structure to practice and learning, while the video format makes it very easy to fit into tight or irregular schedules. There is no way I would have been able to make a normal lesson structure work with my schedule, but I have been using Pickup Music for over a year now and have greatly improved. I highly recommend it.

Can't emphasize enough how much I love Pickup Music and how much it's made me a better guitarist. I was always an ok intermediate but didn't really understand the instrument or know much beyond the basic pentatonic blues scale. The Pickup lessons have given me exactly what I needed to fill in the gaps and progress significantly. Now I'm the guitarist I always wanted to be and still just scratched the surface of my Pickup journey. In terms of the learning structure, the Learning Pathways are perfectly structured in bite-size chunks and I could continuously feel myself making progress which inspired me to keep going. Plus the instructors are all excellent teachers as well as being down-to-earth and fun to learn from. My only regret is that I didn't have Pickup Music when I was younger - otherwise I would be John Mayer by now! :-)
