Best guitar teaching I've had. Hands down.

Intermediate - advanced guitarist here. Pickup Music has taken all the little things I picked up by ear over the years and made them all work better together. The lessons are so perfectly paced and the backing tracks really help when practicing feels too stiff. Instructors are really knowledgable and professional. Tunes up rhythm, theory, improv, everything but never feels dry. Just wrapped up grade 5 of Molly Miller's CAGED course and wish I could tell every beginner, and intermediate player in the world to go take it right now. You will level up! All instructors are focused on the core of the lesson but with a little extra tip sprinkled in here and there to keep each lesson exciting. Best money I've spent as a musician since my first instrument. Thank you Pickup Music team for an absolutely fantastic product.

I'm in my second month with Pickup Music, and am in Grade 3 of the Blues Pathway. I've been working on blues for a year, on my own, and so the content thus far has been very familiar. Yet, the lessons -- video, text, tabs -- are interesting and informative. Of great benefit is how the platform provides the structured progression, the deliberate and dedicated practice, that haphazard books and YouTube videos have not. I can see, feel, and hear the improvement when I'm just improvising on my acoustic or jamming out to the blues shows I listen to. The performance pieces at the end of each grade are quite challenging and make me stretch to better play to the beat and produce the intended bass line or melody. I've known the importance of video recording my practices, but never did it. Now I do, and they're very illuminating. I appreciate the supportive and constructive feedback from the Pickup coaches. Thus far, I'm very pleased with all aspects of the Pickup Music platform. It's a terrific value in the range of content and the quality of the instruction and the instructors. It's been an enjoyable and effective way for me to learn and grow in my guitar studies and practice. Now...that finger style pathway looks really interesting!

The caged learning pathway has been so helpful in my understanding of the fretboard and has increased my overall enjoyment of the guitar. I wanted to find a way to learn music theory and this has been an a lot of fun. The lesson videos and teachers are top notch. Everything is broken into manageable snippets. I’ve also enjoyed the songs to learn at the end of each chapter. The reviews by the teachers has been incredibly valuable as well. I highly recommend it.

Honestly, I think it’s pretty amazing. I tried to find a Course to get into metal shredding and pick up music got me and all the people who like to get into metal music covered. Myrone is a great instructor and the course starts easy for beginners and get harder the further you dive into the material.

I've been playing guitar for more than 50 years. But I'm mostly self-taught using books, YouTube and tips from friends. When choosing a learning pathway I decided to try Late Beginner to see if I had any gaps in my knowledge. Was I ever glad I did! There were definitely some pieces missing and the content was just right!
