After retiring 5 years ago I started playing my dust-gathering guitar a little more. Did my usual strumming songs, learned some old ones and just wasn’t getting better. Watched many hours of YouTube instruction which only led to more frustration. They all just give you enough info to hopefully sign you up. Somehow the “secret to unlocking the fretboard” never materialized! I did sign up for a few trial courses along the way but ended up canceling because you need to pay more to get the help you need. Pickup Music’s ad attracted me so I gave it a shot. If this didn’t work I was going to go for a weekly lesson at a local music shop, pay a ton of money for a half hour a week and take months to get anywhere. Just 2 days getting acquainted with the Puckup Music web site and I realized I finally found the right guided instruction (I’m 74 years old BTW)! My trial ended, I sealed the deal and I can’t stress how much I look forward to another lesson every day! I went from being totally bored with my playing to be very excited to log in every day!!! I’ve learned so much about playing blues and soloing in just three weeks I’m so engaged with learning now! I’ve found accessing the app when I can’t play to go through a few lessons extremely helpful too. I just preview them for when I can play! Just can’t say enough about how motivated and excited your courses have made my learning journey!

As a returning guitar player after a 40 year hiatus I’ve found Pickup Music invaluable. Prior to finding Pickup Music I was floundering around and not learning or getting better. One of the biggest benefits for me is that it removes the guesswork from practice. I simply log in each night, review previous lessons, work on new material or performance pieces, and keep moving forward instead of bouncing between different courses and learning platforms. More than anything, Pickup Music has helped me become a more musical and confident player while keeping me genuinely excited to pick up my instrument and practice almost every night. Highly recommended.

Great courses, very progressive for beginner to.... I've done most of the bass course, have started the piano course both very well done with I believe a pretty good balace between theory and practice.

The best guitar learning experience out there for those looking for an online platform that smashes you through the intermediate plateau. Highly recommended!

High quality, well structured, enjoyable pathway to learning 👌 You can progress at your own pace and choose from foundation courses like CAGED 1&2 to the Soloing pathway. The content will cover mostabilities from day one to more advanced. I am really enjoying Pick up music and will be a customer on an ongoing basis. Currently approach hing the pointof being more social with my playing. Best learning g platform I have found.
