Pickup MusicReviews of pickupmusic.com

I had an amazing experience entering the world of Jazz, establishing a deeper understanding of music and learning with Sam Blakelock and Cecil Alexander. And enven if you're not a Jazz lover, well it is so great to go beyond the pentatonic scale finally. ;)

Teaching in a good interactive way

really enjoy that they mix in different ways of learning. Showing the tabs, the graphs (how I like to see it) and video

I liked the lesson content in Jazz pathway grade 3 and thought most explanations were clear (although sometimes I felt more detailed and slightly slower explanations from Cecil would have been helpful). I would like to see the final performance pieces be more closely/clearly linked with the concepts learned in lessons. I imagine the links were there, but I’m new to playing jazz so it would have been helpful if that had been explained in separate videos as part of the ‘performance lessons’ in addition to videos of the licks.

Pickup Music has very good teachers. Llively environment to learn guitar and music therory. Quick and good support! I can fully recommend it.

The platform has been amazing so far. the only one things I'd love to see changed a little bit is a stronger practice program (maybe some daily practice exercises that are done in a pathway like the pathway programs).

Wish they would make an app. Everything is great but it’s not working that well on phone.

Tell you the truth I always struggled to move across the fret board. However your caged system course opened my eyes how guitar is ingenious in its design. how CAGED is inter connected with its arpeggios ,pentatonic scales and major scales in different root notes positions. It was very confusing watching you tube videos. I like this platform to learn the intricacies of guitar and music theory. well done, hopefully I could play guitar more skillfully in near future. of course with alot of practice.
