They were very unclear about what services they could provide and were not clear that the amount they were quoting was a retainer only and they never told me the hourly rate until I asked for clarification. They kept pressuring me to sign a contract but I had follow-up questions about what exactly their service would cover because their example report and contract language was so incredibly vague. When I emailed the rep (Dan Ford) with my questions about the terms, he refused to respond via email and said we'd discuss on a call. During the call, he told me that if I required any more clarification about their terms and services before signing a contract, I would have to pay a $500 consultation fee. And literally, one of my questions was about the specific parameters about the time frame their results cover; Dan's answer was "I believe it is..." but he could not confirm. I told him I would need confirmation because the timeframe of the results are very important to me. He responded in an incredibly unprofessional and rude tone "Is confirmation worth $500 to you? Because if I have to get confirmation about the dates our results will cover, you have to pay a $500 consultation fee". So, so gross. Before hanging up on Dan I reminded him that it's not my fault that he doesn't have the answers to the questions every potential client should be asking AND I even sent him the questions in advance--which apparently he did not take the time to look at and prepare for, before getting on the phone with me.

Phoenix investigations hired my firm to conduct surveillance in the Ohio area. The investigation was conducted surveillance photos and videos were provided and I paid out of pocket over $1,300 only to be stiffed on the bill. If you are a private investigator do not do business with this organization. I offered to Discount the invoice in order to resolve the matter. I've been in this business for over 40 years between law enforcement and Investigations and have never been stiffed by a private investigator. I am very dissapointed.

I found it NOT trustworthy..random price charge and after agreeing on the price it tried to bill me for more and even tried to find a way to make me agree with it. No more business with this company. I was told with price on email and received invoice later on with much higher cost without any explanation. I found it fishy.

Per Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services Phenix Investigations was fined 1500 after first receiving a letter from the State to stop advertising and working in Florida without a valid A license.

They advertise in Florida but have no License in FLorida! They are not collecting or paying Florida sales tax which is against the law. Beware! In Florida you must have your Florida Agency number on any advertising. This is state law. And all Investigations require a license! Business is misleading the public! Just fined $1500 from Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services on August 9, 2023 for advertising without a State Agency License, No "C" investigator license and no physical location in Florida.

You’d be better of doing Google searches yourself. They provided me a financial back ground check for $3000 on an individual and literally none of the accounts they identified existed. In addition, the banking accounts that I know existed for this individual did NOT show up in their analysis. Last, they never provided any back up details on the accounts they claim to have identified, nor did They follow up on my questions or complaints. Don’t waste your time.
