Took my puppy to get groomed
Took my puppy to get groomed. My poor yorkie looks like a mouse instead of a yorkie. Marianne did a horrible job looks like a child groomed my dog!! I just wanted to cry when I got him into my car.

March 24, 2023 I resigned from PetSmart in Bloomfield Michigan as their dog trainer because of long haul Covid fatigue. I was informed by a pet parent that shops there that I was let go because I was addicted to drugs. The person responsible for this baseless lie is the district dog trainer, Niki Herren. It is beyond irresponsible to lay claim to a destructive rumor. I intend to file a formal complaint with PetSmart corporate.

I dropped our dog off to be shaved and they said it would be 3-4 hours. I showed up at 3 hours and 50 minutes and she had been bathed but they had not started shaving her yet. They said she was nervous, which she does get, and they started on other dogs because they "take multiple dogs" at the same time. The groomer, Lexi, said it would be another 45 minutes. Our dog has been to the groomer her entire life (she's 10) and it has never taken over 4 hours. It was clear Lexi didn't want to take the time with her when she had multiple dogs stacked at the same time. It was already 7:00 at night and I did not want to come back in 45 minutes so we paid for a bath our dog didn't need and left with her. She was still wet, which makes me think they did not start her at 3:00, which was her scheduled appointment time. This was a terrible experience and a waste of money - it was like a dog factory of overlapping appointments and no care for our dog who was nervous (our dog was abused before we adopted her and she does get nervous. I did tell them this both on the website and in person when I dropped her off). Maybe they started her bath late and were rushed which made her extra nervous? She has always had positive reviews from groomers who were able to shave her in half the time.

The people in the store are great. Nail trim and grind? Phenomenal. People at the front? Wonderful as always! The corporation? Cheap, forever trying to save a buck at the expense of customers and, especially, employees! Other companies at least TELL you that their on-line prices are fake, designed to get you to shop on-line so as to require fewer cashiers. Not so with PetSmart! Nope. We have to go back and get a refund attached to our new order. We don't live in town; this is a big deal. They are not the only pet supplies place in town, though. We can do the drive to one of the others!

Would give a negative if I could. My son purchased fish from them and by the time he got home they were already dying. I have never experienced anything like this before. When I contacted the store on behalf of my son they insisted it was his fault and refused to do anything about it. We will never purchase from them again even if they are closer to us.

Long time customer. Not any more. Don’t put animals in dumpsters.

I had my 2 dogs groomed at Petsmart. I asked to have each get a bath, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, and teeth cleaned. When they gave me the bill, they said it was all included in their summer special. I went to pay the bill at the front register. The man checking me out said it was $70 plus for EACH dog. I tried to explain that the groomer had told me the special was for $35/dog. The check out man started arguing with me so I asked to speak to the manager. The check out man said he was the manager (Jason). So I had to pay way more for a simple grooming that wasn’t even that great (dogs not dried, not brushed, water in their ears). In the future, be careful of Petsmart false advertising!

If I could leave zero or negative stars, I would. I’ve taken my golden doodle puppy (10 months old) to PetSmart twice to be groomed. Only because my friend who normally grooms her is off due to a torn ACL. Both times we were greeted upon picking her up by rude associates. Today I just wanted to peek and see what she looked like before they were done and was told very rudely not to “rile her up even more”. It’s bs because she is not a “riled up” type of dog and the actual person who groomed her did say she’s a very sweet puppy, she just likes to be involved and she’s curious. She’s hyper, because she’s a puppy.. but she’s not a mean dog. I would also like to mention that every single time we go in there and pass the grooming area, it seems like they’re giving people crap about their dogs. It’s just not professional and it’s not polite. If you can’t handle a hyper dog that likes to be involved (ie my dog), maybe don’t be a groomer??
