Most "Best by" dates at least 1 year off... buyer beware...
Our local petsmart has great products and okay customer service, BUT when it comes to items that have a "Best By" date, most of those items are at least one year past the printed date... so buyer beware...

Half ass job but nice people
I'm kinda disappointed at the experience we had at the vero beach PetSmart grooming service I'm just gonna start off by saying we booked a service for the bath and wash deluxe
We came in and she started telling us there policy which I can understand that they don't wanna force the dogs into the grooming process and that they said we can't put a muzzle on them because it's just not allowed and I was like okay that's understandable but then we started talking about how if he nips or bites he has to go back home and be picked up as soon as it happens no matter him being done or not I totally was understandable at the time before I knew everything was gonna go to pure crap also before I get into anything else the lady was so hesitant to even get him in and that was kinda weird. We looked at are prices and figured everything out and they said the fundamental pack would be better because we have a husky so we said okay we'll do that instead so we got that all sorted out handed them the dog and we left and bought a few things before heading out the store and may I remind you they said he should be done within three or two hours, we left and just went to one other store and grabbed a few things and before I knew it she called me and said your dog should be done in ten or fifteen minutes so we had to rush out check are things out and rush back to PetSmart. She was explaining how it went that they did the bath and he nipped her when she tried to touch his thigh area so I'm just gonna break for y'all he was still wet on his tail and his head he was not brushed out all the way his feet was not trimmed and his teeth was not brushed at all nor did they try and even take the time to actually calm him down and let him process what was even going on do to the fact he is a rescue they charged us 74 FRIKIN DOLLARS FOR A HALF ASS JOB and said well you can work with him at home and just brush him every day every time I touch his thigh he does nothing he doesn't nip whatsoever he actually enjoys it all I know is I won't be coming back and I'll be doing his bath my self because I had to do it anyways when I got home because they couldn't the only good part about this is the lady that was talking to us was super nice and the cashier my tips for PetSmart grooming service is plz take more time to show these animals you are no threat instead of just throwing them into it and that's why they nip and bite in my personal opinion muzzles would be great because we ain't paying 74 or more to get a half ass dog done

Dead Fish In Plastic Cups
As soon as I walked in, they were flexing their 30 dead betta fish in little plastic cups. Got the dog food fine, the person checking me out was pretty rude, but that's not the company's fault. Shop here if you like dead animals I guess.

Convenia, dangerous drug, no warning given
Boca Raton, FL State Road 7
Caring staff..but antibiotic given to my cat for UTI was not helpful and probably contributed to her death...I will never know. I was not given any warnings about this 3rd generation antibiotic Convenia which stays in the system for two weeks. Researching this drug has upset me greatly. There are Facebook groups about the dangers of this drug and many vets from a Google search are against it. I should have researched this drug first, but there was no time..my cat was pretty sick with UTI that may have spread..but when I got her back, she was worse..I even gave her sub fluids, which made her look better..but she still passed Big lesson learned for me..know your drugs, research them before your pet gets them

Clueless about dogs, deceptive pricing
When I brought my dog in to Sedona PetSmart for bath & nail clip on Tuesday all of the employees at the register found it necessary to get a word in edgewise. When I said "Australian Kelpies" weren't on the list of dog types, one of them insisted they were (they weren't). She then listed my dog as a dog she has no relation to. The $22 I agreed to online was instead $33.00, with less included.
When I went back to pick her up, her nails were still long. The groomer was hesitant at first, but then took her back and did a much better job, apparently with the help of a senior groomer. I appreciated that they took care of that.
Petsmart needs to teach groomers how to connect with and walk with dogs. The employees there don't seem to have a clue about handling them, basically letting the dogs drag them around. It felt a bit like a free-for-all. When dogs come in for baths etc, they are often anxious, needing TLC and assurance.
PetSmart employees need some training too, on respectful communication with customers, including listening.
Last but not least, the pricing system needs to be re-vamped to provide transparency and honesty around actual services and costs.
I'm leaving two stars instead of one, as it appears Michael did a good job with her bath & brushing. Thank you.

I just spent $110 to have my dog cut…
I just spent $110 to have my dog cut and bathed. It was fair at best. When I got home I had to brush her for another 1/2 hour, trimmed her nails and finished drying her. I should have just done it myself.

PetSmart's Restrictive Pickup Deadline Doesn't Work for Me
Online Order for Prescription Cat Food: I called yesterday evening to the local Petsmart from which my order was to be picked up. The phone was finally answered by a young man after 12-15 minutes of repeated phone calls. He seemed to be helpful enough in responding to my request to have my order be marked as "Picked Up" in order to avoid having it canceled by Petsmart.com the following day due to PetSmart's restrictive 3-day deadline for pickup of online orders. But apparently the associate didn't realize that this had to be done online and not just with a handwritten note placed on my order! As a result, my order was cancelled by Petsmart.com and returned to the shelves in the store this morning. Only I didn't receive a notification about this until this afternoon when I already had driven the 12 or 13 miles to the store. This was upsetting, wasteful of my time and gas, and definitely not customer friendly. It will be some time before I shop at PetSmart again. Its 3 day deadline for online order pick-ups should be extended by at least a day and provided with more flexibility in the event of unseen situations that delay customer pick-up.

pet smart workers are incredibly rude
pet smart workers are incredibly rude! rather than explaining how to prepare to care for a first time pet, i was met with annoyance and passive aggression. extremely frustrating. also not to mention that they all have separate opinions on how to care for a pet! i asked one worker if i can put mystery snails in a tank with goldfish and she said, “absolutely not!” when I asked another she said, “of course you can!” so which is it? i just did research on google at that point. all the workers seem exasperated and annoyed instead of helpful. I am also 16 years old, and i had a lot of questions about how to go about buying snails . i called my mom while in the store for her to console me because the workers were so rude.
