The petSmart on Alamo is horrible the young adults talk to you like you're stupid, they don't know anything about pets they're fish tanks are filthy with dead fish and if you purchase any they will die within 2 weeks!!!!

DO NOT ADOPT FROM PETSMART. I adopted a kitten from Petsmart/Lil Bit of Love. The kitten ended up being very sick and contagious. It was obvious that he was sick because he had very bloody diarrhea which I noticed in the litter box. Petsmart should have noticed this before adopting out, as it was VERY OBVIOUS. Not only did the kitten have a parasite, he spread it to my other cats. This has resulted in hundreds of dollars worth of vet bills for not only him but the others as well. The vet got rid of one sickness but it appears that the kitten has multiple! I am still having to put this poor kitten on multiple medications and have had multiple visits to the vet. I called Lil Bit of Love and left a voicemail, they have not returned my call. This behavior is negligent and unprofessional. Since the sickness is contagious as well, I would wager that all of the kittens they are currently adopting out have this sickness, since they are not caring for their animals or taking proper cautions. DO NOT ADOPT FROM PETSMART. They will sell you a sick animal. They will not help you. They will not return your calls. They are an irresponsible and negligent company.

I scheduled appointment 2 weeks out for my dog to be groomed. I have taken them to be groomed a few times to the Riverdale store. They call the evening just before my appt and tell me that their policy changed Monday and since my dog"might" have a seizure which they have been aware of from the first time, they couldn't groom him. So after a week of changes they wait till the day before to call me to cancel. I will never go there again!

WORST PLACE EVER TO BRING YOUR DOG. DON'T GO TO PETSMART IN PARAMUS. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. WE PAY $65.00 plus TIPS and MY DOG SEEMS JUST TO HAVE A BATH and A LITTLE TRIM. IT IS MY FAULT FOR NOT WAITING FOR MY REGULAR GROOMER/ MY DOG WAS SCARED TO DEATH WHEN HE CAME OUT. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE IN THE GROOMING BUSINESS AT ALL. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS GROOMERS, BUNCH OF MEDIOCRE PEOPLE GARBAGE PLACE!

We had our dog groomed at the Petsmart in the Cottonwood Mall of Albuquerque, NM. Cheyenne's appointment was made over the phone with explicit instructions on how she was to be groomed. "Do you want us to shave her?" "NO" "Do you want us to trim her Grinch feet?" "NO" "She needs a sanitary cut - cut only that which needs to be cut." The purpose is to keep feces from collecting on her long hair in the back. Cheyenne is a Golden Retriever/Corgie mix. She has a long coat and feathery feet. Now she has been shaved from her lower belly to her back end. Only her tail is bushy. She looks ridiculous. This can't even be called a lion-cut. The groomer at PetSmart blatantly disregarded her instructions. $60 + to have this done! Since then, I have read many a horror story about PetSmart groomers. I will never recommend them for anything.

Groomer (Danyel) should not be working there and needs to take classes on ethics and customer service!!! A few months ago we took our dog in to be groomed. They didn’t have her rabies on file. That was the 4th time in a row that we had to go next door to Banfield and get a copy of the rabies to provide them. I asked why it wasn’t saved in there system when our other dogs were saved and Danyel proceed to shift the blame onto told Banfield, even though that’s impossible since they have their own computer system. When we asked to speak to a manager, she then tells us that she is in charge and proceeds to blame shift again by telling us that now it’s the computer systems fault, never taking responsibility for anything. To make things worse, Danyel proceeds to argue and make things up just to argue. I informed her that since she is in charge, that ultimately she is responsible, to which she then replied that she is not in charge of the computer system. The next day I spoke with the store manager Sharlene, who apologized for Danyel and offered me a free grooming service for my dog if we would give them another chance. Today we took another one of our dogs in for grooming and asked about the free grooming service. After 4 different employees read pages of notes under our account, Danyel comes out of the back and tells us that the free grooming would have to be at another location cause of what happened. She specifically said, “because of the situation with banfield our dog wasn’t welcome at there salon.” I asked for the store manager Sharlene, who tells us that she personally put notes in the system to give us a free grooming service but then Danyel had gone back in the system and changed everything to say we weren’t allowed there. We went back up to banfield so we could get copies of our rabies vaccines to take to petco since we can no longer trust petsmart. The store manager Sharlene gave us a gift card and apologized again for Danyel and informed us that Danyel was demoted from shift leader after the first incident and due to some other incidents since then. But the fact that Danyel is still working after deliberately lying about her customers and defying her own manager amazes me!! Sharlene offered to pay for grooming at other petsmart locations to make things right. I shouldn’t have to go to another location because an employee was so devious and conniving that she would treat customers this way and then change what her manager put in the system just to because she could. Sharlene was very apologetic but I don’t know how petsmart can employ someone that does this to customers and her own managers. I guess the inmates run the asylum at petsmart. We will take our business to somewhere else. Hopefully petsmart corporate can figure out that this is ridiculous. Having an employee write notes about customers that are lies and then change the notes from the manager and still be employed is unbelievable!!!!!

I ordered fish food online from the Durham NC North Point store, and the next day I was to pick up the food, the order was cancelled. I was told they no longer had the product. My money was refunded, however, this is the closest pet store to me, and as I am going out of town, the fish food was an emergency. What a dissappointment, especially to think they probably got a dollar more for selling it in the store. I'd say, if this is the case, then Petsmart made a bad decision, because a customer that lives by your store is a valuable customer! Ann

Don't go to the PetSmart in New Hyde Park New York if you have a disability because this guy Joe that works there will make fun of you and get away with it even if you call the main office. That's what happened to me and there was no action taken against him. Good thing the American Disability Society will supply me with a lawyer so I can sue them for discrimination.
